How does the philtrum deepen? How to care after philtrum deepening surgery?

Everyone has a philtrum, but the depth of the philtrum varies. A deeper philtrum gives a three-dimensional feeling and makes people feel more stylish. So what is the process of deepening the philtrum? How to take care of yourself after the operation?

What are the specific steps to deepen the philtrum?

(1) The surgical incision is similar to the Millard method. After the incision, a "PL" flap and two "C" flaps are formed on the anterior lip, two "b" flaps are formed on the anterior maxilla, and "L" flaps are formed on both sides of the lip.

(2) Deepen the labiocheal groove, free the "b" flaps on both sides and suture them together to cover the exposed premaxilla to form the gingival part of the premaxilla; pull together and suture the lip mucosa on both sides to form the oral mucosa surface of the front lip.

(3) Reconstruction of the orbicularis oris muscle: the displaced orbicularis oris muscle is cut free from the outer crus of the nose, and the skin and mucosa of the lip on the same side are appropriately freed and pulled together at the midline with interrupted sutures to restore its normal circular structure.

(4) Repair the freed lateral nasal crura on both sides of the nose, reposition and fix the two "C" flaps and rotate them outward to repair the nose.

(5) Lip peak and bead reconstruction: The median anterior lip "PL" flap is placed in place and sutured with the "L" flaps on both sides. The lip vermilion on both sides of the cleft is used to repair the anterior lip vermilion and reconstruct the lip bead.
