What is lung swelling? What are the causes?

In recent years, the incidence of pulmonary edema has continued to rise, and the initial symptoms of patients are cough, low fever, weight loss, etc. The most fundamental reason has a lot to do with the long-term living environment, such as occupational factors, air pollution and so on.

Occupational factors, long-term exposure to radioactive substances such as uranium and radium and their derivatives, carcinogenic hydrocarbons, arsenic, chromium, nickel, copper, tin, iron, coal tar, pitch, petroleum, asbestos, mustard gas and other substances can induce lung tumors, mainly squamous cell tumors and undifferentiated small cell tumors. Occupational factors are an important component of the etiology of lung cancer. Chronic lung diseases, such as tuberculosis, silicosis, and pneumoconiosis, are also causes of lung tumors. Smoking and long-term smoking can lead to proliferation of bronchial mucosal epithelial cells, which can induce squamous cell tumors or undifferentiated small cell tumors. Although non-smokers can also suffer from lung tumors, adenocarcinomas are more common. When cigarettes burn, they release tumorigenic substances, which eventually become the cause of lung tumors.

Air pollution. With the progress of society, industrialization in some areas is accelerating, so the atmospheric environment we live in is gradually damaged and polluted. The polluted air is inhaled into people's lungs, causing the cause of lung tumors, thereby greatly increasing the chance of lung tumors. Internal factors of the human body, such as family heredity, reduced immune function, metabolic activity, and endocrine dysfunction, are also causes of lung tumors.

After reading this article, I believe you will have some understanding and knowledge about the etiology and pathology of lung tumors. I sincerely hope that you will be able to develop reasonable prevention and treatment methods while gaining more understanding so that your body can be well protected and you don’t have to suffer from the disease.
