Do you know the symptoms of chickenpox in adults?

Chickenpox not only affects children, but adults are also not immune. Studies have found that adults will have more severe symptoms after contracting chickenpox. Not only will pustules appear, but they will also have a high fever, erosion of the wound and fluid exudation.

If an adult suffers from chickenpox, many soybean-sized blisters will appear on the face and body. The blisters can easily be infected by bacteria and turn into pustules. There will also be many erosive spots and exudate. Severe blisters will be as big as eggs, or have bleeding spots, headaches, sore hands and feet, fever above 39°C, loss of appetite, and mental depression. A small number of patients will develop chickenpox pneumonia, shortness of breath, cyanosis of the hands and feet, and chest pain.

Chickenpox in adults is more serious than in children. Once the disease occurs, high fever, vomiting, general discomfort and headache will occur. If the fever is above 40℃ and does not subside, the rash will continue to increase and there will be blood blisters. The course of the disease will be longer. If the disease is not treated in time, it will lead to complications such as pneumonia and encephalitis, and even death.

Therefore, if you have symptoms of high fever and rash, you must seek medical attention immediately.

It is recommended that if you are diagnosed with chickenpox, you must go to a regular hospital for treatment, and do not take any medicine at will! If you feel itchy during the chickenpox period, you cannot scratch it with your hands. If you scratch it, it will leave chickenpox marks. Chickenpox will no longer be contagious after 3-5 days of scab formation. Patients with chickenpox should also pay attention to a light diet. They should avoid eating mutton, beef, and sour foods. They should not smoke or drink alcohol. Especially for patients with fever symptoms, they should reduce high-protein foods, as high-protein foods will make it difficult for patients to reduce fever. Try to wear loose clothes and avoid going out in the wind! Drink plenty of water, and you will recover in 5 to 10 days!
