What is the difference between scabies and eczema?

At first, some small red spots appeared on my body, accompanied by slight itching, and I thought it was eczema. Soon after, the itching became more severe and small blisters appeared on the affected area, and it was only then that it was confirmed to be scabies. So, what is the difference between scabies and eczema?

Eczema is divided into acute eczema, subacute eczema and chronic eczema . In acute eczema, the skin lesions initially appear as a majority of dense millet-sized papules, papulovesicles or small blisters. In subacute eczema, the skin lesions are mainly small papules, crusts and scales, with only a small amount of papulovesicles and erosions. There will be severe pain. The symptoms of chronic eczema are thickening and infiltration of the skin in the affected area, brown-red or pigmentation, rough surface, scaling, or scabs due to scratching. Eczema can occur in a specific area or spread to multiple areas of the body.

The cause of eczema is relatively complex, and is the result of the interaction between internal and external factors. Mental stress, insomnia, excessive fatigue, mood changes, infection, etc., external factors such as living environment, climate change, food, etc. can affect the occurrence of eczema.

Scabies is a skin inflammation , often accompanied by itching symptoms, which makes people extremely uncomfortable. The itching of scabies every night seriously affects the patient's mood, sleep and quality of life. This is a mutually contagious disease that can spread directly or indirectly, so it will be isolated. Since this disease is contagious, it causes certain harm to the patient's mental health, and over time it will cause a certain amount of damage to the patient's self-esteem.

Scabies is caused by the activity of scabies in the surface layer of human skin , and can also be transmitted indirectly through clothing used by the patient. The pathogenesis of scabies involves humoral and cellular immunity, which is related to the activity of scabies in skin lesions, chemical stimulation, and the participation of inflammatory factors and cells.

Pay attention to personal hygiene, take a bath frequently, change clothes frequently, and dry clothes and quilts frequently. Do not live with or shake hands with the patient, and do not put clothes together with the patient. If a patient is found, he or she should be treated promptly and the clothes taken off should be boiled to kill insects. Avoid possible triggering factors yourself. Avoid all kinds of external stimuli, eliminate the causes of disease from the details, and let health accompany us.
