What are the symptoms of obesity?

Obese people are quite common in life. This is a difference in body shape, but being too fat may be a disease, such as obesity. The symptoms of obesity are manifested in many aspects. In addition to the patient's physical manifestations, the psychological manifestations of obesity are also quite obvious.

1. Psychological manifestations:

Obese people often feel ashamed of their obesity and even develop a feeling of self-loathing, which can lead to negative mentalities such as anxiety, depression, guilt, and even hostility towards others. The psychological burden of some obese people may manifest as physical symptoms, such as headaches, stomachaches, insomnia, etc., but in fact they do not have any neurological or physical illness.

2. Physical manifestations:

Such as difficulty in movement, shortness of breath, muscle fatigue, joint pain and edema.

3. Complications:

Different complications have their own corresponding clinical manifestations. If diabetes is present and blood sugar levels rise, there will be symptoms of "three mores and one less", namely, more urination, more drinking, more eating, and a decrease in physical strength and weight. When combined with hypertension, patients may experience headache, dizziness, palpitations, etc. If you have gout, you will feel pain in your joints, especially in your feet. Obese patients with coronary heart disease may experience: palpitations and chest tightness; pain in the chest area when emotionally excited or tired, and radiating numbness or pain in the left shoulder; obese patients with sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome may experience loud and uneven snoring during sleep, apnea during sleep, a feeling of suffocation during sleep, or repeated awakenings at night, leading to dry mouth in the morning, headache, dizziness, and fatigue after sleeping; daytime sleepiness, poor sleep at night, inattention, memory loss and other symptoms.
