Stomach discomfort after moxibustion

Stomach discomfort after moxibustion

There are many people who like moxibustion. The health-care effect of moxibustion is very good. Regular moxibustion is also very beneficial to your health. However, although moxibustion is good, it is not suitable for everyone. Some people cannot do moxibustion, and some people experience stomach discomfort after moxibustion. Since everyone's physical condition is different, the symptoms that appear in the body are usually different.

Why do I feel stomach discomfort after moxibustion?

Moxibustion is like a small sun. When it approaches your body, a steady stream of yang energy is input into your body, just like a martial arts master transferring his inner strength to you. You may feel comfortable or uncomfortable.

The reaction after moxibustion varies from person to person, with some people seeing a quick effect and others seeing a slow effect. Some people suffer relapses, some experience stomach discomfort and bloating, which are normal reactions.

Moxibustion precautions

1. Pay attention to the cold, keep warm, and be careful not to touch cold water during moxibustion, especially in winter.

2. Don't get angry during moxibustion. If you get angry, the qi will block the meridians and the moxibustion will not work. On the contrary, it will aggravate the stagnation of qi and blood.

3. Do not do moxibustion when you are very hungry or full. Moxibustion when you are hungry may cause dizziness, while moxibustion when you are too full will slow down the circulation of qi and blood and cause abdominal distension.

4. People with gastrointestinal diseases should not eat during moxibustion. They can eat half an hour after moxibustion.

5. It is best to drink 200-250 ml of warm boiled water before moxibustion, and 200-250 ml of warm water after moxibustion, or even a little more.

6. You can take a warm bath before moxibustion, and take a hot bath half an hour after moxibustion, which should be slightly hotter than the skin temperature.

7. Some people want to soak their feet while doing moxibustion, which can save time. You can soak your feet in hot water with the water temperature higher than 50 degrees.

8. People who are doing moxibustion for the first time must learn to gradually adapt to the heat and gradually add moxibustion tools. Don't add too much at once, as the body will not be able to bear it and will feel too dry.

Moxibustion regulates spleen deficiency caused by spleen and kidney deficiency by restoring yang and consolidating deficiency, warming and replenishing yang, it can relieve depression and disperse liver qi to achieve body balance, improve endocrine disorders, and improve the activation of uterine and ovarian nerves.
