Do you know the symptoms of renal insufficiency?

The process of abnormal kidney function is particularly slow. The early symptoms include drowsiness and fatigue, which are easily ignored. Gradually, the symptoms will become more and more serious, and yellow complexion, edema, changes in urine volume, high blood pressure, poor appetite, etc. will appear one by one.

1. Drowsiness and fatigue

This may be an early symptom of the disease, but it is the easiest to be ignored because there are indeed too many reasons that cause drowsiness and fatigue. Especially those who are "fighting hard" in their careers mostly attribute it to work stress and fatigue. If symptoms improve with a little rest, they are more likely to be ignored.

2. Yellow complexion

This is caused by anemia. Because the occurrence and development of this phenomenon are extremely slow, there will be no obvious contrast for a long time, just as people who meet frequently find it difficult to notice each other's slow changes.

3. Edema

This is a relatively easy-to-detect symptom. This is because the kidneys cannot clear excess water from the body, resulting in fluid retention in the tissue spaces. In the early stages, there is only swelling of the ankles and eyelids, which disappears after rest. If it develops into persistent or systemic edema, the condition is already more serious.

4. Changes in urine volume

Due to decreased renal filtration function, the urine volume of some patients will gradually decrease as the disease progresses. Even if the urine volume is normal, waste cannot be completely excreted from the body due to the reduction in toxins excreted in the urine. Therefore, urine volume cannot fully reflect the quality of your kidney function.

5. Hypertension

Because the kidneys have the function of excreting sodium and water. Therefore, when kidney function is impaired, sodium and water retention will occur in the body. In addition, the damaged kidneys will secrete some substances that increase blood pressure. Therefore, patients with chronic renal failure will have varying degrees of hypertension in the early stages. If you have nose or gum bleeding due to high blood pressure and poor coagulation mechanism, you should pay more attention.

6. Poor appetite

This is caused by toxin retention affecting digestive function, and most people would not take it seriously. As the disease progresses, there will be abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, and even increased frequency of bowel movements or loose stools, which is often an important reason why patients have to seek medical treatment.

In short, as long as you are vigilant, chronic renal failure can be detected early. Early detection and early treatment. I wish you a speedy recovery!
