The difference between prickly heat and eczema, pay attention to the cause and morphology

Prickly heat and eczema are two relatively similar skin diseases. Many people cannot tell the difference between them. To distinguish between prickly heat and eczema, we can generally identify them through many aspects such as the causes of the two skin diseases and the degree of skin damage. We can also pay attention to the morphological characteristics of the two skin diseases.

1. Different causes

"Prickly heat" is mainly caused by hot weather, which prevents sweat from evaporating in time. "Eczema" is usually caused by a combination of internal and external factors. Internal factors such as chronic digestive system diseases, mental stress, insomnia, excessive fatigue, mood changes, endocrine disorders, infection, slow metabolism, etc.; external factors such as living environment, climate change, food, etc. may cause eczema.

2. Different degrees of skin lesions

The range of "prickly heat" is not large and the distribution is irregular, while "eczema" affects a wide area. After scratching, there are obvious dot-like exudations, which are mostly symmetrically distributed, and large areas will cause peeling and rot.

3. The length of the position is not the same

"Prickly heat" mainly appears in areas with more fat, while "eczema" can appear anywhere, regardless of the thickness of the fat.

4. Different recurrence situations

"Prickly heat" generally does not recur and is more likely to occur in childhood, while "eczema" is prone to recurrence and is related to daily diet and daily routine.

5. Itching degree

The itching degree of "prickly heat" is moderate, while the acute form of "eczema" is extremely itchy.

6. Different shapes

"Prickly heat" appears as densely packed small red dots, while "eczema" appears as bumps that are more protruding and vary in size.

7. Special Tips

If you have prickly heat, you only need to pay attention to the temperature issue, but if you have eczema, you need to pay attention to all aspects of the factors.
