Qigong is a cultural treasure of the Chinese nation. It has the functions of health care and health preservation, although in recent years it has been used for marketing by people with ulterior motives, making Chinese people less confident in qigong. However, its efficacy cannot be underestimated, and it is of great help to patients with insomnia. Method 1: (1) Small Zhoutian sleeping method : Lie on your back in bed with your head, torso and legs naturally flat. Put your hands together with your palms facing down on your Dantian. Take a deep breath through the nose, as if filling the whole body with air first, and then exhale slowly. As you exhale, your mind will gradually relax and calm down from the head to the toes, as if floating in the clouds, and your body seems to be there and not there. When you inhale again, the mind goes from Dantian around the perineum and up along the Du meridian to the top of the head. When you exhale, the mind goes down from the top of the head along the meridians and returns to Dantian in the abdomen. Repeat this process until you fall asleep. Method 2: Three-Level Sleeping Method : This method can be used by someone who feels constrained by breathing or gesticulating in a prescribed manner. The posture is the same as before, the gestures are casual, and the breathing is natural. After relaxing your whole body, let the mind slowly descend from the top of the head along the front of the torso to the toes; then let the mind slowly descend from the top of the head along the back of the torso to the heels; then let the mind slowly descend from the top of the head along the middle of the body to the soles of the feet. Repeat this process until you fall asleep. Method 3: Acupoint massage for sleeping: If you find it difficult to calm down using the above two methods, and are not used to guiding your qi with your mind, you can try this method instead. The posture is the same as before. Put your palms together, cross your five fingers, and hold them on your dantian. First, use your left thumb to press and massage the sleep point on your right hand, and count silently from 1 to 120. ;Then switch hands and use your right thumb to press the sleep point on your left hand, silently counting from 1 to 120. Repeat this 2 to 3 times and you will fall asleep. Method 4: Adjunctive therapy ① Pinch and rub the Sanyinjiao acupoint: Press the tips of your thumbs on the Sanyinjiao acupoints on both sides, pinch and rub for 2 minutes until you feel a local soreness and swelling. ②Pinch and rub the Shenmen acupoint: Use the tips of your two thumbs to alternately pinch and rub the Shenmen acupoint on the opposite side for 1 minute each. ③ Rotate and massage the entire abdomen: Lie on your back, place your palms on the upper and lower abdomen respectively, and massage your hands alternately in a clockwise circular motion for 2 minutes. ④ Press and rub the Baihui point and Fengchi point: Use your thumb to rub the Baihui point for 1 minute, then use both thumbs to rub the Fengchi point for 1 minute, and finally use the radial side of the bent index finger to rub the brow ridge and forehead 10 times each. Method 5: Simple exercises ① Before going to sleep at night, when you lie in bed, think about the Baihui and Yongquan points first to absorb the essence of nature, combine it at the Shenque point in the middle of the navel, and then go up to the Laogong point in the palm of your hand, which is very beneficial for the prevention and treatment of insomnia. ② After lying in bed, eliminate distracting thoughts, relax your body, and silently recite the "Six-Character Formula" to induce tranquility. The Six-Character Mantra is to recite it while breathing: "hush, huh, huh, blow, hi". The six characters correspond to the six meridians, i.e., "hush" corresponds to the liver, "he" corresponds to the heart, and "hu" corresponds to the spleen. It matches the lungs, blowing matches the kidneys, and laughing matches the triple burner. This method is quite helpful for inducing sleep. ③ Sitting posture: silently say “empty” and “relaxed” with a smile on your face. "Empty" must be silently recited at the same time: "Relax the body, breathe evenly, and calm the mind. Focus the mind on Dantian and the body will be empty. Guiding has therapeutic effects on the meridians, and the unity of man and nature brings endless joy." "Relax", first think from the Baihui point, relax the top of the head → relax the Yingtang → relax the philtrum → relax the larynx → relax the shoulders → relax the chest → relax the abdomen → relax the buttocks and thighs → relax the knees and calves → relax the Yongquan point. "Smile", the corners of the mouth are slightly upturned with a smile. Do it once in the morning and evening every day, 20 minutes each time, and gradually increase to 1 to 2 hours. |
