Do you know what are the symptoms of blood deficiency?

The causes of blood deficiency include excessive blood loss, excessive menstrual flow, uncontrolled diet, overeating, malnutrition, etc. Blood deficiency can cause symptoms such as pale complexion, numbness of limbs, dizziness, insomnia, dull hair, and dry stool.

1. Malnourishment of internal organs : Malnourishment of internal organs is generally manifested by pale complexion, dull lips and nails, dizziness, numbness of limbs, stiffness of tendons and veins, palpitations, insomnia, dry skin, dry hair, dry stools, and difficulty urinating.

Since the heart governs blood and the liver stores blood, blood deficiency clinically mainly manifests itself in the heart and liver. Symptoms of insufficient heart blood include palpitations, insomnia, dreaminess, restlessness, etc. If the liver blood is deficient and cannot nourish the body, the complexion will be dull, dizziness, tinnitus, dry eyes, blurred vision or night vision. If the liver blood cannot nourish the tendons and veins, the limbs will be numb, the tendons and veins will be tight, and the muscles will twitch. Since Chinese medicine believes that the liver governs the tendons and the nails are the remnants of the tendons, if the liver blood is deficient, the nails will not be nourished and will become dry, thin, brittle and cracked. According to the Five Elements Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the heart is the son of the liver, and the liver is the son of the kidneys. According to the principle of nourishing the mother when there is deficiency and Yang gives birth to Yin, when treating, nourishing the heart often also nourishes the liver, and nourishing the liver often also nourishes the kidneys. In cases where blood deficiency is more serious, drugs that replenish the spleen and lung qi are often added to the blood-replenishing prescription.

2. Blood does not carry Qi : Traditional Chinese medicine believes that blood is the mother of Qi, Qi relies on blood to attach, and blood carries Qi to flow. When blood is deficient, qi has no place to attach to, and thus it becomes weak. Therefore, blood deficiency is often accompanied by qi deficiency. Patients not only have symptoms of blood deficiency, but also symptoms of qi deficiency such as shortness of breath, laziness to speak, low voice, fatigue, shortness of breath and spontaneous sweating. Chronic blood loss syndrome caused by blood deficiency and qi deficiency is common in clinical practice. Especially in cases of severe blood loss, the Qi is lost along with the blood, and at this time the loss of Qi becomes the main contradiction. When the atmosphere sinks, you may feel short of breath, or have difficulty breathing, or your breathing may stop and you may be in danger at any moment.
