Nursing measures for bronchial asthma, daily care is very important

Bronchial asthma will recur and is also a common respiratory disease. If you do not pay attention to care in daily life, the attack of the disease will cause great harm to the patient's health. If the correct posture after the attack is sitting, you can also breathe oxygen, keep warm, and reduce the attack of asthma.

1. Nursing measures for bronchial asthma

1. First of all, you need to stay calm, let the patient sit down, put his forearm on a small table, lean his back against a pillow, and keep warm to prevent his shoulders from getting cold.

2. Provide spiritual comfort to patients, gain their trust through language and behavior attitude, reduce their anxiety and tension, and reduce body and oxygen consumption.

3. If sputum blocks the airway, it can increase airway resistance, aggravate hypoxia and dyspnea. Patients should be actively encouraged to expectorate and keep the airway open.

4. Oxygen inhalation can be given through nasal chamber or double-lumen nasal cannula. Oxygen flow rate 1-3 L/min. The oxygen must be humidified.

5. Correctly instruct patients to inhale anti-asthma drugs, keep warm, and drink fluids appropriately. If the patient's breathing difficulties persist, call the emergency number immediately.

2. Symptoms of bronchial asthma

Common symptoms of asthma patients include paroxysmal wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness or coughing. A small number of patients may also have chest pain as the main symptom. These symptoms often occur after patients are exposed to irritating gases or allergens such as smoke, perfume, paint, dust, pets, pollen, etc., and symptoms are also prone to occur or worsen at night and/or early morning. Many patients can hear wheezing during an asthma attack. Symptoms are usually episodic and most patients can be relieved on their own or with treatment.

Many asthma patients often experience a long period of misdiagnosis before being diagnosed, and are diagnosed with chronic bronchitis, pharyngitis, etc. The wrong diagnosis leads to incorrect treatment plans, which not only delays treatment and causes physical pain to patients, but also brings mental and psychological pain to patients, and the economic investment is wasted. They also frequently use antibiotics, but since antibiotics have no therapeutic effect on asthma, repeated use can easily lead to drug resistance. Of course, antibiotics will be effective when there is a bacterial infection.
