Can cupping be used to treat lumbar muscle strain? Chinese medicine cupping is effective

Lumbar muscle strain is also very common in daily life, and it is most common among middle-aged and elderly people. Lumbar muscle strain is not a serious disease and can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine, especially cupping, which is particularly effective in treating lumbar muscle strain. It is important to choose good acupoints when cupping.

1. Chronic lumbar and back muscle strain belongs to the categories of "muscle injury", "sprain", "rheumatism" and "low back pain" in traditional Chinese medicine. The pathogenesis is kidney-essence deficiency, coupled with external evil of cold and dampness, or falls and injuries that cause qi stagnation and blood stasis, and poor circulation of qi and blood, resulting in "pain when qi and blood are blocked." The treatment is aimed at dispelling evil and unblocking meridians, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, and nourishing the kidney and replenishing Qi.

2. Select: Ashi point, diaphragm point, spleen point, and kidney point.

Ask the patient to lie prone to fully expose the waist and back

The operator first rubs the Ashi point and Geshu point with the tip of the thumb of one hand with moderate force to allow blood to accumulate in the acupoints and cause the local area to turn red and hot. The thumb and index finger of the left hand are placed naturally on the local area, and the skin at the acupoints is stretched to both sides. After disinfection, hold a small three-edged needle in your right hand, pinch the needle handle with your thumb and index finger, place the middle finger close to the needle body, expose 1 to 2 cm long needle tip at the lower end, and quickly prick the acupuncture point 3 to 6 times (if there are violent and dark superficial veins in the area, you can prick them directly). After wiping the puncture site with 95% alcohol (to facilitate the smooth leakage of blood), the operator quickly cupped the Ashi point, Diaphragm point, Spleen point, and Kidney point, leaving the cups for 10 minutes before removing them and performing routine disinfection. Once every other day, 5 times as a course of treatment. >>>Long-term illness has made me a doctor. My waist protection "treasure book"

Geshu point is one of the eight meeting points and has the functions of nourishing blood, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. Bleeding through acupuncture with a three-edged needle can stimulate the nerves and blood vessels, causing the blood vessels to dilate and the blood and lymph circulation to accelerate. Cupping can then be used to allow waste and toxins in the body to leak out with the blood. Tissue cells can obtain fresh nutrition while removing blood stasis and waste, thereby accelerating recovery. The combination of Pishu and Shenshu has the effects of strengthening the spleen and replenishing Qi, harmonizing the stomach, warming the middle and nourishing the earth, consolidating the foundation and nourishing the essence.

3. During the treatment, remind the patient to protect the affected area from cold and dampness, develop a scientific and correct working (sitting) posture and a good habit of combining work and rest, exercise moderation in sexual intercourse, and avoid loss of kidney essence and kidney yang deficiency. Do exercises regularly to relax your waist muscles. Use appropriate strength on your waist. Do not lift heavy weights or walk with weights for a long time. Be careful to avoid falls, stumbles, slips, and setbacks.
