What are the advantages of TCM in treating tumors?

Many of our friends think that cancer is a scary disease, but in fact, today’s medical technology is relatively advanced and mature, so everyone should have more confidence. Using traditional Chinese medicine to treat tumors is also a common method. You may want to take a look at the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine treatment.

Three major advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in treating tumors

First, it can effectively prevent the occurrence and development of tumors . Treating "tangible" tumors is certainly not the forte of traditional Chinese medicine, but it does have a lot of applications in preventing the occurrence of tumors that have not yet "formed". The characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine are its holistic viewpoint that takes "people" as the center and its core is to adjust yin and yang and to treat symptoms based on syndrome differentiation. The occurrence of cancer is a long process, from the participation of carcinogens in human metabolism, the initiation and promotion of cancer, DNA damage and repair, and then the development of precancerous lesions. It takes about 5 to 20 years for precancerous lesions to develop into carcinoma in situ, and then from carcinoma in situ to advanced cancer with the ability to invade or metastasize. This long process provides ample space for prevention and treatment of cancer with traditional Chinese medicine.

Secondly, the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in treating tumors include many aspects , such as improving the success rate of surgery, reducing complications and secondary diseases; cooperating with radiotherapy and chemotherapy to reduce toxicity and increase efficacy; improving the body's internal environment and adjusting immunity; and using traditional Chinese medicine to prevent recurrence or metastasis when tumor patients have undergone surgery or radiotherapy and chemotherapy for relief.

Third, traditional Chinese medicine can also play an important role in the direct treatment of tumors. For example, in the treatment of pancreatic cancer, bile duct cancer, liver cancer, brain tumors, sarcomas, and late-stage tumors that have recurred or metastasized, it is entirely possible to bring about a turn for the better if the ideas are right, the responses are orderly, and the combinations are appropriate. In particular, searching for effective anti-cancer ingredients from natural medicines, enhancing the body's immune function, and inducing cancer cell differentiation and apoptosis is a fascinating field. In this regard, traditional Chinese medicine will play a big role.
