What are the effects and functions of Cyperus rotundus?

Xiangfu tastes pungent, slightly bitter and slightly sweet. It is a traditional Chinese medicine that is mainly used to treat and improve problems such as breast swelling, irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, and dysmenorrhea. It can also effectively treat adverse symptoms such as vomiting blood and hematuria.

1. Cyperus rotundus tastes spicy, slightly bitter, slightly sweet, and is neutral in nature . It enters the liver, spleen and triple burner meridians. Promotes qi circulation, relieves depression, regulates menstruation and relieves pain. It is used for liver depression and qi stagnation, distension and pain in the chest, flanks, and abdomen, indigestion, chest and abdominal fullness, abdominal pain due to cold hernia, breast pain, irregular menstruation, amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea.

2. Abdominal distension and pain

Cyperus rotundus can be used to relieve chest, flank, stomach and abdominal distension and pain caused by liver qi stagnation. Combined with Bupleurum and Citrus aurantium, it is used to treat chest and flank pain. Combined with galangal, it can treat stomach pain caused by cold.

5. Analgesic effect
