For the treatment of wind-cold exterior symptoms, headache, body pain, aversion to wind and cold, it is often used in combination with Schizonepeta tenuifolia, Notopterygium wilfordii, and Angelica dahurica; for the treatment of exogenous rheumatism, headache as if wrapped, heaviness of body and limb pain, it is used together with Notopterygium wilfordii and Ligusticum chuanxiong; for the treatment of urticaria and itching, it is often used in combination with Sophora flavescens, Schizonepeta tenuifolia, and Angelica sinensis.

2. Used for rheumatic pain. It is suitable for patients with wind-cold-dampness arthralgia, joint pain, and tendon spasm, and is often used in combination with Notopterygium wilfordii, cinnamon twig, and turmeric.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoct in water, 5-10g; or make into pills or powder. For external use: take appropriate amount and decoct in water for fumigation and washing. It is usually used raw, fried for diarrhea, and fried into charcoal for hemostasis.
