How is Behcet's disease treated?

With the busy daily life, many people neglect their own bodies. Behcet's disease is a multiple disease. Initially, reactions will occur in the mouth, skin or body organs. Behcet's disease needs to be treated early. In daily life, we should pay attention to the combination of work and rest and eat more light foods.

This is a disease that can be diagnosed based on symptoms. Only when the disease is active will the erythrocyte sedimentation rate or C-reactive protein be high, and the rest are generally normal. Moreover, the symptoms do not necessarily occur at the same time. The international diagnostic criteria for Behcet's disease are:

1. Recurrent oral ulcers: A doctor observed or the patient reported aphthous ulcers or scars that recurred three times within one year.

2. Recurrent genital ulcers Physicians have observed or patients have complained of genital ulcers, especially in men.

3. Eye diseases

Anterior and/or posterior uveitis, cellular infiltration in the vitreous during slit-lamp examination, or retinal vasculitis.

4. Skin lesions

Erythema nodosum, pseudofolliculitis, purulent papules, acneiform rash (occurring without taking glucocorticoids).

5. If the acupuncture reaction is positive, use a No. 20 sterile needle to obliquely insert the needle into the skin and the doctor will determine the result within 24 to 48 hours.

Anyone who has recurrent oral ulcers and 2 of the other 4 items can be diagnosed with this disease.

Western medicine uses hormones combined with immunosuppressants for treatment, which have many toxic side effects and unsatisfactory long-term effects. Discontinuation of the medication will lead to relapse. This treatment is not recommended. If you are prone to nosebleeds, it is recommended that you have a routine blood test. If you are prone to colds and coughs, it means that you have a poor physical constitution!

The effect of traditional Chinese medicine treatment will be better. Bozhi glycopeptide can be used, and the prescription needs to be specifically diagnosed based on the actual condition and constitution. The prognosis is not likely to relapse.

Avoid spicy food, fish, shrimp and seafood, and avoid excessive fatigue and emotional stress.
