Is TCM effective in treating varicocele?

Dampness and heat lead to the occurrence of the disease: Because the patient's scrotal skin becomes hot and red, the swelling and pain will generally worsen after work. After rest, the symptoms will be slightly relieved. At the same time, there will be a feeling of heaviness and pain when touched. The left spermatic cord is enlarged and varicose veins appear like an earthworm. The tongue is red, the tongue coating is yellow and greasy, and the pulse is stringy and rapid. Therefore, the treatment mainly focuses on soothing the liver and dispersing stagnation, clearing away heat and removing dampness.

Diseases caused by liver and kidney deficiency: Patients will experience scrotal enlargement and lower abdominal cramps, which are usually significantly aggravated when standing or after fatigue. At the same time, the spermatic venous plexus can be seen to expand, bend, and elongate. When lying flat, the cramps in the testicles or lower abdomen will be significantly relieved, and the varicose veins will shrink or disappear. For severe cases, the pain generally does not disappear, and is accompanied by low back pain, dizziness, chills, cold limbs, cold scrotum, impotence, premature ejaculation, etc. At the same time, the tongue is pale red, the tongue coating is less, and the pulse is thin. The treatment of this symptom mainly focuses on nourishing the liver and kidneys, and promoting qi and blood circulation.
