Indications

Stroke caused by wind and phlegm can cause strabismus of the mouth and eyes, phlegm congestion, hemiplegia, tetanus, headache, rheumatic pain, numbness of limbs, scrofula and tuberculosis, swelling and poisonous pain in the genitals, snake bites, convulsions, epilepsy, and swelling and poison of carbuncles.

Dosage

Decoction, 3 to 6 grams. Grind into powder and take 0.5 to 1 gram. It is suitable for internal use. For external use, take an appropriate amount of the raw product, mash it and apply externally.

Usage Notes

Patients with wind-induced by yin deficiency and blood deficiency or wind-induced by excessive blood heat, as well as pregnant women, should use it with caution as it has a strong irritating effect on the skin and mucous membranes.

Preparation method

Remove impurities from raw white aconite. To prepare white aconite, take the clean white aconite, separate the big and small ones, soak them, and change the water 2-3 times a day. If sticky foam appears after a few days, add alum after changing the water (for every 100mg of white aconite, use 2mg of alum). After soaking for one day, change the water again, and take out when you feel a slight numbness in your tongue when you taste it. Put ginger slices and alum powder in a pot, add appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil, pour in white aconite and cook until there is no dry core, remove from the pot, remove the ginger slices, dry in the air until 60% to 70% dry, cut into thick slices, and dry. For every 100 mg of white aconite, use 12.5 mg each of ginger and alum. [5]

It is forbidden to be taken by patients with stroke due to yin-blood deficiency, convulsion due to internal heat, and pregnant women.
