How to regulate Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity with food

Many people's physical constitution cannot keep their bodies in a normal state, so they will gradually develop various diseases, leading to an imbalance of yin and yang and causing yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity, which will have a lot of impact on our bodies. Therefore, patients should not only use Chinese medicine prescriptions for conditioning, but also combine treatment with diet therapy, which can relieve night sweats, blurred vision, weight loss, hypersexuality, and prevent spermatorrhea, impotence, premature ejaculation, and kidney deficiency.

What is Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity and how to treat it with diet

Yin deficiency refers to the deficiency of essence, blood or body fluid. Generally speaking, under normal conditions, Yin and Yang are relatively balanced, restraining and coordinating each other. When the Yin Qi is deficient and the Yang Qi loses restraint, it will cause pathological changes and hyperactivity of physiological and pathological functions, which is called "Yang hyperactivity". Therefore, Yin deficiency can cause Yang hyperactivity, and Yang hyperactivity can cause Yin fluid depletion. The two are mutually causal.

Clinical manifestations: hot flashes, red cheeks, night sweats, fever in the five parts of the body, coughing up blood, blurred vision, weight loss or insomnia, numbness and stiffness, irritability and easy thinking, or nocturnal emission, hypersexuality, red and dry tongue, etc.

Hypertension, diabetes, etc. may all present with symptoms of Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity.
