What is herpes simplex type 1 IgG positive

What is herpes simplex type 1 IgG positive

Herpes simplex type 1 IgG is positive, which means that there has been a recent herpes simplex virus infection. Such test results may appear in the middle stage of infection or after the infection has recovered. Generally, such a result may also appear in the test after recovery. This is a relatively common herpes virus, which often causes tonsillitis, pharyngitis, oral herpes, etc., and of course it can also cause genital herpes.

What does a positive herpes simplex virus type 1 IgG test mean? In the previous article, we learned what herpes simplex virus type 1 IgG is. Now let’s analyze what a positive herpes simplex virus type 1 IgG result means! The results of herpes simplex virus type 1 IgG test are either negative or positive.

IgG is in the middle and late stages of infection or when the infection has recovered. That is to say, when the infection occurs, igm is produced first, and then disappears after a period of time, and then igg is produced. This antibody disappears very slowly or even does not disappear. Therefore, if the herpes simplex virus type 1 has appeared in the body, the test after recovery will generally show a positive result for herpes simplex virus type 1 IgG.

Generally speaking, herpes simplex virus type 1 mainly infects areas above the waist, such as pharyngeal tonsillitis, keratoconjunctivitis and oral herpes. Herpes simplex virus type II often infects the area below the waist, causing genital herpes, etc. Most adults will have IgG antibodies to the herpes simplex virus throughout their lives.

Both IgG and IgM antibodies to herpes simplex virus are positive, indicating recent infection with herpes simplex virus. Both IgG and IgM antibodies to herpes simplex virus were negative, indicating that there was no herpes simplex virus infection. The IgG antibody titer of herpes simplex virus is less than 1:512, and the IgM antibody is negative, indicating a history of infection. If the herpes simplex virus IgG antibody titer increases by more than 4 times in the two serum samples, it is an indicator of recent herpes simplex virus infection even if the igm antibody is negative.

Can I get pregnant if my herpes simplex virus type 1 IgG is positive? Herpes simplex virus type 1 is relatively common. As we all know, it causes inflammation and herpes in the oral mucosa, nasal vestibule, conjunctiva, and throat. 99% of herpes in and around the mouth is caused by infection with herpes virus type 1. Herpes simplex virus type 1 appears in so many parts of the body, so if the herpes simplex virus type 1 IgG shows positive, can I get pregnant?

This again involves the issue of the whole and the part. Whether or not one can get pregnant cannot be simply determined by one result. Herpes simplex IgG is the antibody produced by a patient who has been infected with herpes simplex. Igm is the only immunoglobulin that can pass through the placenta. The rubella virus can be transmitted to the fetus from the mother's blood through the placenta, or it can ascend from the mother's reproductive tract to infect the amniotic cavity and infect the fetus, causing congenital fetal rubella syndrome, congenital cataracts, congenital heart disease, deafness, meningitis, thrombocytopenia, anemia, hepatitis, interstitial pneumonia, maldevelopment, low birth weight and chromosomal abnormalities, etc. However, 1/3 of the fetuses will not develop sequelae such as deafness, encephalitis, diabetes, etc. until after puberty.

For pregnant women, a positive IgG test for herpes simplex virus type 1 only means that they have been infected with herpes simplex virus type 1 in the past, not now. If it is igm-positive, it means that the related virus is still in the body. It is recommended to do an IgM test. If the result is negative, you can get pregnant.
