Early stage of internal hemorrhoids

Early stage of internal hemorrhoids

Patients with internal hemorrhoids in the early stages will only experience constipation. When they go to the hospital for a check-up, they find out that they have internal hemorrhoids. Internal hemorrhoids usually have no symptoms in the early stages, and as the disease worsens, patients will feel some symptom changes. Therefore, we must understand it clearly, take timely precautions, and cooperate with oral and topical medications for treatment to achieve the therapeutic effect.

1. Oral medication:

Oral drug treatment includes increasing dietary fiber intake, improving intestinal function in patients with hemorrhoids, anti-inflammatory, and using venous enhancers. Dietary fiber refers to food fiber that is not digested and absorbed by the intestines. It can prevent excessive absorption of water in the intestines and prevent its onset.

It is suitable for patients with intestinal disorders such as diarrhea or constipation. Venous enhancers can improve microcirculation and reduce local edema. They can be used for short-term treatment of internal hemorrhoid attacks, but should not be used for a long time. If hemorrhoids are accompanied by local inflammation, antibiotics or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can be chosen. The latter can also effectively relieve the pain caused by hemorrhoidal thrombosis.

2. Local medications:

Local therapeutic drugs are external-use drugs, whose main ingredients include hydrocortisone lubricants, mucosal protective agents and traditional Chinese medicine, etc. They are generally in the form of suppositories and ointments. Its functions are to reduce inflammation, stop bleeding, relieve pain, relieve itching and relieve the feeling of anal prolapse and defecation obstruction caused by hemorrhoidal edema.

Local drug treatment is generally used for short-term relief of symptoms. It should be noted that if constipation occurs during the hemorrhoid symptom period, the use of local laxatives is not recommended and targeted treatment is required. If hemorrhoids recur, topical medications may still be effective.
