Can taking ceftriaxone cure enteritis?

In real life, enteritis is a relatively common gastrointestinal disease. Enteritis can easily lead to abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. It is caused by unhygienic food or intestinal inflammation. Cephalosporin is a relatively common drug with a good anti-inflammatory effect. People with enteritis can take cephalosporin for treatment, or they can take cefixime tablets for treatment.

Can taking ceftriaxone treat enteritis?

Cefuroxime represents a type of drug that has certain effects and functions on gastroenteritis caused by viruses and bacteria, but it is not suitable for every patient. It is recommended to go to a regular hospital for treatment of gastroenteritis.

Cefixime capsules are suitable for the following bacterial infections introduced by streptococci (except enterococci), pneumococci, gonococci, Branhamella catarrhalis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Serratia, Proteus and influenza bacilli that are sensitive to cefixime.

: 1. Bronchitis, bronchiectasis (when infected), secondary infection of chronic respiratory infections, pneumonia;

2. Pyelonephritis, cystitis, gonococcal urethritis;

3. Cholecystitis and cholangitis;

4. Scarlet fever;

5. Otitis media and sinusitis.

Cefixime is an oral third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic suitable for the treatment of respiratory, urinary and biliary tract infections caused by sensitive bacteria. Cefixime is highly stable to β-lactamase produced by Gram-negative bacteria. Its antibacterial effect against Gram-negative bacteria is stronger than that of first- and second-generation cephalosporins, but its antibacterial effect against Gram-positive cocci is not as good as that of first- and second-generation cephalosporins. Currently, the cefixime drugs approved by the State Food and Drug Administration include tablets, capsules, dispersible tablets, dry suspensions and granules, all of which are prescription drugs.

In addition, during the treatment of acute gastroenteritis, greasy foods such as fat, cream, fried foods, spicy foods such as chili, wine, onion, curry, pepper, mustard powder, strong coffee, etc., hard and high-fiber foods, acidic foods and carbonated drinks should not be eaten. These foods can easily block digestion, irritate the gastric mucosa, and are not conducive to the recovery of gastric mucosal inflammation.

Eat soft and liquid foods during treatment of acute gastroenteritis until your symptoms subside. During the recovery period, the gastrointestinal function is still very weak, so liquid and soft foods should be maintained as the main food. It is recommended to maintain this diet for another three months. During this period, you can gradually add other foods to supplement your nutrition, but you must control the amount, avoid spicy and stimulating foods, and never overeat.

Therefore, it is very important to choose a treatment method that suits you. In addition, you must also do corresponding care in daily life so that the disease will stay away from you.
