What are the spermatogenic drugs?

Sperm is a substance produced by the male reproductive organs. It is the core factor in reproducing offspring and has a great impact on male fertility. However, modern male sperm problems are becoming more and more prominent, seriously affecting the lives of many men. For example, low sperm count is a common symptom, and medication is needed to solve the problem. Let’s take a look at what sperm-producing drugs are available. I hope everyone can understand it.

Western medicine commonly uses various sex hormones, such as clomiphene, testosterone, human gonadotropin drugs, etc., or supplements with pancreatic vasodilator peptide, nucleotides, vitamins E and A, trace element zinc, etc.

Clomiphene is an anti-estrogen drug suitable for oligospermia patients with low or normal serum follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone levels. It is not suitable for patients with high serum follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone and azoospermia.

1. Generally speaking, vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin C can help delay the aging of reproductive function and avoid sexual function decline.

2. Appropriate calcium supplementation. Calcium ions can stimulate sperm maturation and vitality. Foods rich in calcium include dried shrimps, salted eggs, egg yolks, dairy products, soybeans, kelp, sesame paste, etc.

Research has found that animal foods generally contain more zinc, about 3 to 5 mg of zinc per 100 grams of animal food, and the amino acids produced by the decomposition of animal protein can also promote the absorption of zinc. Animal foods with high zinc content include: seafood, lean meat, pork liver, fish, egg yolks, etc. Among them, oysters contain the highest amount of zinc. There is less zinc in plant foods, with about 1 mg of zinc in every 100 grams of plant foods. Plant foods that contain relatively high levels of zinc include beans, peanuts, millet, radishes, and cabbage.

In addition, problems with sperm quantity and quality will have a certain impact on infertility, but it is not the decisive factor. Experts recommend that patients with hemospermia should eat more foods containing arginine in their daily diet in order to cooperate with treatment. Arginine is beneficial to the production of sperm. Foods rich in arginine include soybeans and their products, yam, ginkgo, sea cucumber, cuttlefish, octopus, watermelon, pumpkin, etc.
