What is whole body tremor?

Tremors occur throughout the body, which is an involuntary and repetitive shaking of the body, especially tremors in the limbs are the most common. There are many causes, both physiological and disease-related. For example, if you are nervous, tired, excited, etc., these can cause such phenomena. The main cause of the disease is some neurological disorders, and whole-body tremors caused by brain diseases.

What is whole body tremor?

There are many reasons for body tremors. One is physiological, which is related to factors such as tension, fatigue, and excitement; the other is pathological, caused by various diseases, such as Wilson's disease, hyperthyroidism, Parkinson's disease, etc. Most physiological body tremors are temporary. As long as the cause can be found and controlled, and the inducing factors can be avoided, most body tremors will disappear automatically. If the body tremor is pathological, it needs to be treated according to the cause and symptoms.

1. Hand tremor:

Most of the time, it is caused by some disease that damages the area of the brain involved in motor coordination. The main clinical cause of hand tremor is Parkinson's disease, which is characterized by rhythmic tremors of 4 to 6 times per second when the limbs are at rest, often starting from the fingers, and later other limbs will be affected.

2. Arm shaking:

There are generally two possibilities for arm shaking. One is hyperthyroidism. If you feel hot, bulging eyes, and palpitations, it is definitely hyperthyroidism. The other is Parkinson's disease. Generally speaking, hyperthyroidism is more common in young people, while Parkinson's disease is more common in older people.

3. Leg shaking:

The symptom of restless legs syndrome is uncontrollable shaking of the legs. It is a neurological disease that is mainly related to abnormal dopamine metabolism and iron deficiency, and has certain genetic factors. Patients with restless legs syndrome are usually unable to control their leg shaking behavior, and are accompanied by intense pain, burning and other discomforts, and often have leg cramps, and this condition often occurs at night.

4. Head shaking:

Head tremors in the elderly are mostly benign, but if head tremors occur in young people, attention should be paid to the possibility of Wilson's disease. Lip tremors are often a symptom of Parkinson's disease.
