1. Oral administration of Chinese medicine

Rhizoma Aconitum (take it in a separate bag 1 hour before taking), 15g of Chrysanthemum, 30g of Honeysuckle, 30g of Prunella Vulgaris, 10g of Cicadae Constrictor, 3g of Safflower, 10g of Mustard Flower, 10g of Menthus, 30g of Cicada Shell, 10g of Bombyx Batryticatus, 10g of Whole Insect, 5g of Centipede, 15g of Orange Peel, 15g of Luffa Spinosa, 10g of Notopterygium, and 3g of Angelica Dahurica.

2. Acupuncture treatment by stage

Acute stage: mainly distal acupoints, Fengchi, Fengfu, Dazhui, Quchi, Lieque and Hegu; subacute stage: mainly local acupoints, including Yangbai, Taiyang, Dicang, Jieche, Yingxiang, Sibai, and the mandibular foot yangming meridian tendons, and bilateral Hegu points are alternated; after 2 weeks: electroacupuncture: Yangbai, Taiyang, Dicang, Quanliao, intermittent wave gentle stimulation, it is appropriate to see the needle handle throbbing but no pain, once a day, 20 minutes each time; if the patient has not recovered for more than 2 months, plum blossom needle can be used to prick Yangbai and Sibai points.

3. Moxibustion

Choose a moxa stick, light it and apply suspended moxibustion on the Qianzheng and Yifeng points for 30 minutes each time, twice a day.

4. Ironing method

Choose 100g of fennel, 30g of Evodia rutaecarpa, 30g of Ligusticum chuanxiong (purified), 30g of Asarum (purified), and 30g of Acorus calamus (purified).

Usage: Add 2 liang of ginger and 2 liang of green onion to the above medicine, fry in an iron pan until hot, then wrap with gauze and apply it on the affected side of the face.

What to eat to treat facial paralysis

1. Ginseng and Astragalus Black Chicken Soup

Prepare 15 grams of Codonopsis pilosula, 15 grams of Astragalus membranaceus, 10 grams of Panax notoginseng, a quarter of a bamboo chicken to remove sebum, 2 slices of ginger, and cook soup. This soup can tonify deficiency, strengthen the body, eliminate phlegm and correct TCM imbalance. It is suitable for patients with weak qi and blood in the recovery period.

2. Fangfeng porridge

10-15 grams of Saposhnikovia divaricata, the stems of scallion, and 30-60 grams of polished rice. Boil the first two ingredients in water to extract the juice, remove the residue, and cook the polished rice into porridge. When the porridge is almost done, add the juice, cook it into a thin porridge, and drink it warm. This prescription can dispel wind, relieve exterior symptoms and relieve cold, and is suitable for facial paralysis, muscle soreness, etc. caused by wind-cold attacking the meridians.

3. Ginger, sugar and perilla leaf drink

3-6 grams of perilla leaves, 3 grams of ginger, and 15 grams of brown sugar, soak in boiling water for 5-10 minutes. This prescription has the effect of dispelling wind and cold, and often relieving exterior symptoms. It is effective in treating various symptoms caused by exogenous wind evil.

4. Fish head stewed with Chuanxiong and Angelica dahurica

3-9 grams of Chuanxiong, 3-9 grams of Angelica dahurica, 500 grams of silver carp head, and appropriate amounts of green onion, pepper, ginger and salt. Bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for half an hour. Eat the fish and drink the soup in the morning and evening. This prescription has the effects of dispelling wind and cold, promoting blood circulation and dredging collaterals, and is suitable for facial paralysis caused by exogenous wind evil.

5. Jujube porridge

30 grams of jujube, 100 grams of glutinous rice, and an appropriate amount of rock sugar are cooked until they are soft and become porridge. This recipe has the effect of replenishing qi and nourishing blood. It is suitable for people with weak qi, crooked mouth and eyes, shortness of breath and fatigue.
