Toxic enteritis

Toxic enteritis

There are certain differences between toxic enteritis and ordinary enteritis. The symptoms exhibited by patients suffering from toxic enteritis are also somewhat different. When suffering from this disease, patients will feel severe abdominal pain, nausea, frequent vomiting and fever. When these symptoms appear, you cannot buy some medicines at will, but must go to the hospital for treatment in time.

Symptoms of toxic enteritis

1. Acute toxic enteritis. The patient will suddenly experience symptoms of nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. The stool will be watery and may contain undigested food, a small amount of mucus, and even blood. The patient will also have a fever, headache, and general discomfort, which are symptoms of poisoning to varying degrees.

2. Patients with acute toxic enteritis, if they have nausea, vomiting, and severe diarrhea, may also suffer from dehydration, acidosis, and even shock. Some patients may not have obvious signs, but feel tenderness in the upper abdomen and around the navel, which brings great harm to the patients.

3. Acute toxic enteritis. After the appearance of this symptom, you need to go to a regular hospital for treatment in time. Because this disease comes very suddenly, it will have a certain impact on the patient's body. If severe dehydration occurs, you need to infuse light saline to replenish water.

Prevention of toxic enteritis

1. Bacterial food poisoning

Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, etc. It has the characteristics of short incubation period, concentrated time, sudden outbreak, and fierce force. More than 90% of them occur in July, August and September. The key to prevention is to strengthen food hygiene management and prevent food contamination.

2. Traveler’s diarrhea

Common symptoms include watery stools, accompanied by abdominal pain, bloating, vomiting, etc. Therefore, we must strictly control the risk of disease entering the body through the mouth during travel.

3. Escherichia coli enteritis

Symptoms include diarrhea 3-5 times a day, with yellow egg-drop-like stools and large amounts. Therefore, to prevent this disease, we must pay attention to diet, drinking water hygiene and feces management.

4. Bacillary dysentery

Bacillary dysentery, also known as bacillary dysentery, usually has an acute onset, first with chills and fever, then abdominal pain and diarrhea. Patients with toxic bacillary dysentery may become extremely exhausted and suffer toxic shock, which is more common in infants under 2 years old. Therefore, maintaining good diet, drinking water hygiene and feces management, and vigorously eliminating flies are fundamental measures to prevent the disease.

5. Refrigerator enteritis

That is, Yersinia enteritis. With the popularization of refrigerators, the incidence of this disease has increased year by year. Yersinia is widely present in many foods such as milk, meat, fish, poultry and vegetables, and grows and reproduces at low temperatures below -4°C. If food in the refrigerator is contaminated with this bacteria, it may cause enteritis. Therefore, raw and cooked food in the refrigerator should be kept separate, and all food should be cooked thoroughly before eating.
