In life, we often encounter situations where we sweat. Many times, this situation is caused by our physical weakness. There are even some diseases that can cause us to sweat all the time. abnormal sweating

sweating due to general debility refers to abnormal sweating caused by physical weakness or certain diseases. In mild cases, sweating occurs when moving, while in severe cases, profuse sweating may occur. In severe cases, shock, fainting, and impotence may occur. Tuberculosis patients often experience night sweats. Night sweats and spontaneous sweats belong to the category of spontaneous sweating. The former is mostly due to yin deficiency, and the latter is mostly due to qi deficiency. Both are caused by physical weakness, but are often ignored because there is no major discomfort in the body. In fact, children's night sweats and spontaneous sweating cannot be ignored, because frequent spontaneous sweating can easily lead to dehydration, electrolyte imbalance in the body, loss of trace elements, etc. Mild symptoms include dizziness, weakness, pale complexion, loss of appetite, restless sleep, and weight loss; severe symptoms include muscle cramps, palpitations and shortness of breath, memory loss, developmental delay, and intellectual disability. Excessive sweating in children should never be taken lightly and should be treated promptly.

The symptoms of spontaneous sweating need to be differentiated from the following symptoms.

Hyperhidrosis patients completely lose normal control of sweating and facial flushing. Excessive sweating and facial flushing make patients feel helpless, anxious or panic every day.

2. Cold sweats

Sweating due to fear or shock makes the hands and feet cold, so it is called cold sweat. Cold sweat: refers to the feeling of coldness caused by sweating due to tension, fear or illness. There is no fever or thirst before sweating, and the patient is often accompanied by symptoms of cold such as lack of energy, pale complexion, loose stools, clear and long urine, slow and deep pulse, and pale tongue. It is mostly caused by Yang deficiency and insufficient Wei Qi, or it can be caused by fright.

3. Night sweats

Night sweats may be caused by qi deficiency or yin deficiency. If the night sweats are caused by qi deficiency, it is generally due to poor vasodilator function, which can be adjusted with Buzhong Yiqi Decoction. Night sweats caused by insufficient blood in the heart, palpitations and insomnia should be treated with blood nourishing and heart nourishing, and Guipi Decoction should be used for treatment; if it is caused by yin deficiency, the body will have dryness and heat, and there will also be night sweats, which can be improved with Liuwei Dihuang Pills; night sweats caused by yin deficiency and excessive fire, and fever in the five hearts should be treated with nourishing yin and reducing fire, and Danggui Liuhuang Decoction should be used.
