Many people often encounter the problem of sore throat in their daily lives. Sore throat is not a common phenomenon. Most of them are related to climate changes in diet and life. First of all, you can take more Chinese patent medicines to regulate it, and cooperate with examinations to confirm the diagnosis.

Treatment

Departments: Internal Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Otolaryngology, Otolaryngology

1. Perform symptomatic treatment, maintain smooth bowel movements, and drink plenty of water.

2. Those with fever should use antibiotics (penicillin, cefotaxime), sulfonamides and antiviral drugs (such as morphine, amantadine, viroline, etc.).

3. For local treatment, you can gargle with 1:5000 furacilin solution or compound borax solution, dissolve dulefen, chlorhexidine, mint tablets or iodine tablets in your mouth, or inhale antibiotics and hormones by nebulization.

4. Treatment with traditional Chinese medicine: For patients with severe aversion to cold, mild fever, no sweating and floating pulse, Mahuang Decoction can be taken orally. If the fever is severe and the aversion to cold is mild, Yinqiao Powder can be taken internally. Niuhuang Jiedu Pills, Jiedu Xiaoyan Pills, and Liushen Pills can also be taken internally. For local treatment, you can use Bingpengsan or Xileisan powder and blow it into the throat. Acupuncture at the cheek-cartilage, hegu, shaoshang points or mandibular angle blockade can relieve inflammation and has an especially good analgesic effect.

Inspection method

Common inspection items

White blood cell differential count

MRI of the nasopharynx

The oropharyngeal mucosa shows acute diffuse congestion and swelling. The lymphoid follicles on the posterior pharyngeal wall are bulging and congested. When the lateral pharyngeal cord is affected, longitudinal cord-like bulges can be seen on the outer wall of the oropharynx, which also appear congested. When the infection is severe, edema may occur in the uvula and soft palate. The lymph nodes at the mandibular angle may be enlarged and tender. The severity of this disease is related to many factors. If it is a highly virulent bacterial infection, the total white blood cell count and neutrophil classification in the peripheral blood will be very high, and the systemic symptoms will be severe. To identify the pathogenic bacteria, throat swab culture and bacterial sensitivity tests are often used.

Cause Analysis

Resistance decreased (30%):

This disease is often caused by a decrease in systemic and local resistance due to cold, excessive fatigue, excessive smoking and drinking, which allows pathogenic microorganisms to take advantage of the situation and invade the body. Over-fatigue refers to a sub-healthy state of exhaustion caused by long working hours, excessive labor intensity, and excessive psychological pressure. Its biggest hidden danger is that it causes the body's latent diseases to rapidly worsen, such as worsening underlying diseases such as hypertension, leading to acute circulatory organ disorders such as cerebrovascular disease or cardiovascular disease, and even fatal symptoms. This sudden death caused by long-term chronic fatigue is also called "death from overwork".

Malnutrition (20%):

Malnutrition in a broad sense should include both undernutrition or deficiency and overnutrition. Here we only discuss the former. Malnutrition is often secondary to medical and surgical causes, such as chronic diarrhea, short bowel syndrome, and malabsorptive disorders. Non-medical causes of malnutrition include poor eating habits, lack of nutritional knowledge, and parents' neglect of scientific feeding methods.

Chronic diseases (20%):

People with chronic heart, kidney, and joint diseases, poor living and working environment, and frequent exposure to high temperatures, dust, and harmful irritating gases are all susceptible to this disease. The main pathogenic microorganisms are hemolytic streptococci, pneumococci, influenza bacilli, and viruses.
