What diseases can fungal polysaccharides cure?
Nowadays, due to environmental pollution and the increasingly unhealthy food people eat, various diseases have begun to appear in different people. Drug treatment is an effective, fast and commonly used treatment method for diseases. Fungal polysaccharides are a type of drug that is often used in medicine. Fungal polysaccharides have a good therapeutic effect on diseases such as tumors, diabetes and asthma, and can help people recover their health.

1. Tumor

1. The therapeutic effect of polysaccharides on tumors is not to kill tumor cells directly, but to achieve the effect of cancer prevention and treatment by enhancing the patient's immune defense system. Experiments have shown that polysaccharides extracted from shiitake mushrooms, astragalus, and cypress mushrooms can enhance the function of T cells and restore animals with low immune function to normal.

2. Polysaccharides are immune B cell activators. Astragalus polysaccharides, Lentinan polysaccharides, cypress mushroom polysaccharides, Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides, etc. can promote the proliferation of B cells, causing them to produce a large number of immunoglobulin antibodies, thereby enhancing disease resistance.

3. Macrophages, especially toxic macrophages, have a strong killing effect on tumor cells. They can synthesize and secrete tumor necrosis factor (TNF), causing tumor hemorrhage and necrosis. Polysaccharides are powerful TNF inducers. On the 8th day after animals were injected with polysaccharides, the production of TNF reached its peak, thus exerting an anti-cancer effect.

4. Interferon (IFN) is an antiviral and anti-cancer substance produced by the body itself. Cypress mushroom polysaccharides can induce the body to produce interferon. Adding 10-100 micrograms of cypress mushroom per milliliter can increase the production of alpha interferon and gamma interferon in normal people by 8 times and 4 times respectively.

5. Interleukin 2 (IL-2) is a T cell growth factor produced by activated T cells. It can maintain the long-term survival of immune T cells and induce the growth of T killer cells and LAK cells. Therefore, it has become the newest drug for treating tumors and viruses such as AIDS. Polysaccharide drugs can activate T cells and induce the production of endogenous interleukin-2, thereby avoiding the toxicity and side effects of commercial interleukin-2. It can also increase the sensitivity of cells to interleukin-2, allowing it to produce maximum therapeutic effects at lower doses.

2. Diabetes

Studies have found that fungal polysaccharides treat diabetes in two ways. The second is to change blood circulation, speed up the blood circulation in the pancreas of the body, and provide enough oxygen to the pancreatic B cells, thereby increasing the secretion of insulin. On the other hand, improving the function of insulin target cell receptors in muscle cells allows the same amount of insulin to have a greater effect. When the endocrine function of some elderly diabetic patients is tested, the amount of insulin is within the normal range. The reason why they develop diabetes is mainly due to the reduced sensitivity of insulin target cells to insulin.

3. Asthma

The cell permeability of tracheal mast cells in asthma patients is greater, so the asthma-causing substance histamine is easily released from the mast cells. After asthma patients take fungal polysaccharides, the creation and repair of tracheal smooth muscle mast cells and cell membranes will be accelerated. The release of histamine from mast cells is inhibited, thereby suppressing asthma. It is now known that the anti-fatigue effect of fungal polysaccharides is also achieved by improving cell physiological functions and increasing the activity of cell lactate degrading enzyme. 3.
