High-risk type of congenital genital ulcer

High-risk type of congenital genital ulcer

Genital warts, also known as genital warts, are one of the most harmful sexually transmitted diseases and are highly contagious. There are currently many methods for treating genital warts, and the overall effect is quite good. As long as proper health care measures are taken afterwards, the chance of disease recurrence can be greatly reduced. Active treatment is very important. So, how to treat high-risk type of condyloma acuminata? Let’s take a closer look below.

1. Interferon treatment: High-risk types of genital warts require injection of interferon for antiviral treatment, 1 million U to 3 million U subcutaneous or intramuscular injection, every other day or twice a week. It has certain effects and can be used by patients with genital warts with low immune function.

2. Levamisole: In view of the low cellular immune function of some patients with genital warts, this drug is used. It is available in two forms: oral and topical. Take orally 3 times a day, 50 mg each time. Take it for 3 days and stop for 11 days as one course of treatment. It can be taken continuously for several courses. For external use, apply levamisole solution to the left anterior hip flexor side.

3. Photodynamic therapy: The method is to apply freshly prepared 20% ALA solution to the affected area for 3 hours, and then irradiate with 150mJ/cm2 helium-neon laser for 20 to 30 minutes. Treatment is done once every 1 to 2 weeks, and generally 1 to 3 treatments are sufficient to cure the disease. The treatment of urethral warts has a cure rate of over 98%, and the recurrence rate is very low.

4. Electrocautery: Suitable for large pedunculated condyloma acuminatum. When genital warts grow in the shape of cauliflower or verruca, a pedicle often forms at the base. In this case, the ideal treatment is to first cut the pedicle with electrocautery. The remaining damage can be treated with freezing, laser or drugs.

5. Surgery: Suitable for large genital warts. The main body of the wart is removed surgically, and local medication or freezing is used after the wound heals. For some patients whose foreskin is too long, circumcision is recommended.

More than half of patients with genital warts are infected through sexual contact. One party in the family is infected from society and infects the spouse through sexual intercourse. It is also possible that the disease is transmitted to other family members through close contact in daily life, which not only brings physical pain, but also causes family discord and mental stress. Therefore, improving sexual morality and avoiding extramarital sex are important aspects of preventing the occurrence of genital warts.
