Five taboos for preserving Fu tea

Many people like to drink tea in our daily life. There are many types of tea. I wonder if you know about Fu tea. In fact, Fu tea is also a very common tea. However, many people don’t know how to preserve Fu tea. If you don’t know how to preserve tea, it will affect the taste of the tea. Let’s take a look at it.

Five taboos for preserving Fu tea:

1. Avoid exposure to sunlight, as sunlight will cause the tea leaves to oxidize quickly, producing a sun smell that will last for a long time.

2. Avoid moisture. Relatively speaking, Anhua black tea does not require very high humidity. If the air humidity is below 75%, it will not mold even for a long time.

3. Avoid sealing. Anhua black tea is a post-fermented tea. During storage, the tea leaves will continue to oxidize, thereby improving their quality.

4. Avoid peculiar smells. Anhua black tea has a strong adsorption capacity. Tea leaves that have absorbed peculiar smells are basically waste. This is why many people put Anhua black tea in masks to prevent haze.

5. Avoid damaged packaging. Fu tea is a compressed tea, so it is strictly forbidden to soak it in water or drop it. Damage to the shape or packaging will affect its collection value.

How to preserve Fu tea:

The first method: ceramic jar storage method

Use ceramic jars to store Fu tea to keep the tea leaves fresh and prevent them from spoiling.

Before putting Pu'er tea into the ceramic jar, wrap the tea leaves separately with kraft paper and place them around the jar. Put a lime bag in the middle of the jar and then put the tea bag on it. After the jar is full of tea, cover it tightly with cotton. Lime can absorb moisture and keep the tea dry and damp, which has a good storage effect and can extend the shelf life of the tea.

The second method: tin storage method

You can buy tin cans in general tea markets. There is no difference in the texture of tin cans, and you can choose the shape you like. Before storing in an iron can, first check the sealing of the can body and the can lid. If there is a leak, it cannot be used. If there is no problem with the iron can, you can put the dry Fu tea into it and seal the iron can tightly. It should be noted that although this method is simple and easy, it is only suitable for short-term storage and not for long-term storage.
