How to treat spermatic cord cyst

How to treat spermatic cord cyst

Spermatic cyst, also known as spermatic hydrocele, refers to a cystic tumor formed on the spermatic cord. It is usually located at the posterior and superior part of the testicle, very close to the epididymis. Such cysts are common in young and middle-aged people, especially children. If they occur, they should be closely observed. They will be absorbed on their own after a period of time. If they still cannot be absorbed after one year old, surgical treatment should be adopted.

Treatment

Children are generally prone to spermatic cord cysts and do not need treatment within three months, because some children can absorb it on their own within six months to one year old and only need to be observed. If the baby still cannot absorb the fluid after 1 year old, treatment is needed, which can be surgical. If the fluid accumulation is not large and the tension is not high, a slightly larger surgery can also be performed.

There is no need for you to distinguish between indirect hernia and hydrocele, as both are processus vaginalis deformities and the surgical methods are basically the same. For children who are weak or unwilling to undergo surgery, they can be treated with hernia patches and hernia belts, which are very effective.

symptom

1. A small amount of effusion may be asymptomatic. If the effusion is huge, there may be discomfort in the scrotum, or urination and sexual dysfunction.

2. If it is a communicating hydrocele, the size of the lump may change with the change of body position.

3. For cystic masses in the scrotum, the light transmission test is (+). If the tunica vaginalis is thickened, the light transmission test is (-).

4. Spermatic hydrocele is generally small in size and located above the testicles.

5. Testicular hydrocele. If there is too much fluid accumulation, the testicles are often not palpable.

6. Communicating hydrocele: the size of the cyst may change with changes in body position.

Spermatic cyst, also known as spermatic hydrocele, refers to a cystic tumor formed on the spermatic cord, which is often located at the posterior and superior part of the testicle, close to the epididymis. More common in young and middle-aged people.

The causes of spermatic cord cysts are generally believed to be related to excessive sexual stimulation, acute or chronic inflammation of the testicles and epididymis, injuries, or sexually transmitted diseases. Please take reasonable preventive and treatment measures under the guidance of a doctor based on your own condition, and give surgical treatment if conservative treatment is ineffective.
