How many times per hour is normal for the fetus to move?

Most mothers will experience fetal movement after pregnancy. This is the only emotional "communication" between the child and the mother. Some mothers do not understand how much fetal movement is normal for their children, and they will inevitably worry about the physical condition of their children. The mother's worry is not unreasonable. The speed, frequency, strength and weakness of fetal movement all reflect the physical condition of the child. So, how many times of normal fetal movement per hour is normal?

First, how many times an hour is normal for the fetus to move? The first time you feel the baby's slight fetal movement in your belly is a very important milestone in the pregnancy process. And when the fetal movements progress from these weak movements to vigorous kicks, you'll know that your baby is doing well. So how many fetal movements are normal? The number, speed, strength, etc. of fetal movements can often predict the safety of the fetus in the uterus. Normal fetal movement indicates that the placenta is functioning well, that the oxygen supplied to the fetus is sufficient, that the fetus is developing healthily, and that the little life is living happily in the uterus. If the fetal movement is less than 20 times within 12 hours, or less than 3 times within 1 hour, it often means that the fetus may be suffering from hypoxia, and pregnant mothers should not take it lightly. The fetal movement is generally 3 to 5 times per hour, and about 30 to 40 times in 12 hours.

Second, under normal circumstances, the strength and frequency of fetal movements vary throughout the day and night. The number of movements is less in the morning, increases after 6 pm, and is most active between 8 and 11 pm. This means that the fetus has its own sleep pattern, which is called the fetal biological clock. The strength and frequency of fetal movements vary greatly from person to person. Some have it more than 100 times in 12 hours, while others only 30 to 40 times. But as long as the fetal movement is regular and rhythmic, and the changing curve is not large, it means that the fetal development is normal.

How many times per hour is normal for the fetus to move? Under normal circumstances, the fetus moves more than 3 times per hour. More than 30 fetal movements in 12 hours indicate that the fetus is in good condition, less than 20 times means that the fetus has intrauterine hypoxia, and less than 10 times means that the fetus is in danger. The fetal movement suddenly increases (more than 20 times in 1 hour, more than 200 times in 12 hours) or decreases (less than 3 times in 1 hour, for more than 3 consecutive hours; or less than 20 times in 12 hours); if the pregnant mother becomes afraid of cold, has bad breath, loss of appetite, fatigue, or has irregular vaginal bleeding when the fetal movement changes, these phenomena are all "dangerous signs" for the fetus. You should go to the hospital immediately.
