6. When a chalazion becomes infected, it should be treated as a stye. After the inflammation subsides, it is best to perform surgical removal.

7. Surgical treatment: Small cysts do not require treatment, but large chalazions can be removed surgically. During the operation, the cyst wall must be removed completely to prevent recurrence. The incision should be made on the conjunctival surface of the eyelid in a vertical direction. When granulation tissue protrudes from the conjunctival surface, it should be cut off at the same time.
