Is there any specific medicine available for nose bleeding?
The symptoms of nose bleeding have a great impact on life, because this phenomenon can cause people to panic, and if the correct solution is not found for nose bleeding, it will lead to excessive bleeding, affecting life safety, etc. Therefore, if nose bleeding occurs, it is necessary to take medicine to treat it. Let’s take a look at what special medicines can be used for nose bleeding? I hope everyone can understand.

Nosebleed is one of the common symptoms of nasal and sinus diseases. It is also one of the symptoms of certain systemic diseases or lesions of the adjacent structures of the nasal cavity and sinuses, with the former being more common. There are many causes of nosebleeds, and further examination is needed to determine whether it is a deviated nasal septum, dry rhinitis, atrophic rhinitis, or a foreign body in the nasal cavity. In addition, check for blood diseases such as abnormal platelet quantity or quality, and abnormal coagulation mechanism.

The treatment begins with identifying the bleeding point, then applying 50% silver nitrate or trichloroacetic acid to use its protein coagulation effect to seal the ruptured small blood vessels. The area can also be electrocauterized or laser or cryotherapy can be used. Alternatively, endoscopic electrocautery can be used for treatment. Severe cases require anterior nasal packing, which is the first choice for treating severe epistaxis. If nasal packing still cannot effectively stop bleeding, vascular occlusion should be performed.

The most important thing in stopping nosebleeds is to identify the bleeding site and cause, so first check the nasal cavity to see if it is nasal mucosal erosion, nasal hemangioma or other neoplasms. In addition, a routine blood coagulation function test is required to rule out the possibility of abnormal blood components. If it is erosion of the nasal septum mucosa, you can spray xylometazoline hydrochloride into the nose and apply gelatin sponge to the nose. If the bleeding still cannot stop, plasma ablation should be considered to stop the bleeding. The most common cause of nosebleeds in adolescents is erosion of the mucosa in the nasal septum area, but there is no specific drug treatment. Recombinant bovine fibroblast growth factor spray can be used first to promote mucosal repair. If the bleeding lasts for a long time, it is recommended to do a nasal endoscopy to determine the bleeding site. If necessary, silver nitrate cautery or laser hemostasis can be used.
