Some people believe that allergic purpura and allergic cutaneous vasculitis belong to the same spectrum of diseases. This disease is the most common type of vasculitis in children. It is more common in school-age children, with the common age of onset being 7 to 14 years old. It is rare in infants under 1 year old.

Cause: The cause and mechanism of the disease have not been fully elucidated so far. It may be related to streptococcal infection, viral infection, drugs, food, insect bites, etc. The mechanism is that the antigen combines with the antibody to form an immune complex that is deposited on the blood vessel wall, activating complement, leading to inflammation of the capillary and small blood vessel walls and their surrounding areas, increasing the permeability of the blood vessel wall, and thus producing various clinical manifestations.
