What Chinese patent medicine should I take for gastric reflux?

Many people may have experienced gastric reflux in life. In fact, most of the gastric reflux is caused by improper diet. Irregular diet can easily lead to slower gastrointestinal motility and insufficient gastrointestinal motility, leading to food gas reflux. If you want to relieve this symptom, you can take metoclopramide, etc. It is best not to eat too much and don’t eat foods that easily produce gas. Generally, gastric reflux can be easily relieved.

Patients with gastric reflux often experience loss of appetite , abdominal distension and pain, hiccups, belching, nausea, vomiting, and indigestion and regurgitation. The following three kinds of decoctions can be used for Chinese medicine treatment. 1. Xuanfu Daizheshi Decoction with 9 grams of Xuanfu flower (packed separately), 6 grams of ginger, 20 grams of Daizheshi, 10 grams of Codonopsis pilosula, 10 grams of dried tangerine peel, 10 grams of Poria cocos, and 10 grams of Atractylodes macrocephala. Causes of stomach qi reflux 1. Causes of stomach qi reflux include improper diet due to external evil, irregular diet, phlegm and fluid retention, emotional injury, or long-term illness, which lead to evil qi disturbing the stomach; or spleen and stomach weakness, which causes the stomach to lose harmony and descend, and stomach qi reflux. The disease is located in the stomach and can be caused by the disease of the stomach itself or by the disease of other organs. Syndromes can be divided into deficiency, excess, cold and heat.

2. The reasons for stomach qi reflux include excessive use of cold and cool medicines , long-term illness, and severe stomach qi deficiency, or even stomach qi decline. Stomach qi reflux caused by excessive use of cold and cool medicines is a sign of deficiency. In the case of excess syndrome, if the stomach is invaded by external evil, there are often superficial symptoms; if the diet is stagnant, there will be abdominal distension, belching and acid regurgitation; if the liver qi invades the stomach, there will be vomiting and acid regurgitation, and distension and pain in the ribs; if phlegm and fluid are blocked inside the body, there will be vomiting of clear water and phlegm. In deficiency syndrome, the stomach qi goes up against the flow. For example, if the spleen and stomach are weak and cold, the patient will vomit after eating, and will have undigested food and cold pain in the abdomen. In case of stomach yin deficiency, the patient will have occasional dry retching, thirst, a burning sensation in the epigastric area, and a peeling tongue coating.

3. The reasons for stomach qi reflux include dietary damage , excessive drinking, overeating of fatty and sweet foods, and eating spicy food, which promote dampness and heat, causing phlegm and turbidity, blocking the esophagus and cardia, or damaging the body fluid and causing the blood to dry up, resulting in a dry esophagus, all of which can cause choking when eating and cause dysphagia. 4. The causes of stomach qi reflux include organ imbalance, mainly internal injury, diet, emotions, kidney deficiency due to old age, and organ imbalance. The three often influence each other, are causal, and cause the disease together, forming pathological changes of deficiency in the main and excess in the superficial. At the beginning, the main symptom is evil. As the disease progresses, qi stagnation, phlegm obstruction, and blood stasis become more obvious, the stenosis of the esophagus and cardia becomes more severe, and the evil becomes worse. Due to the loss of gastric fluid, the kidney yin is damaged, resulting in deficiency of essence and blood, and the weak become more deficient. These two factors combine to cause severe dysphagia. 5. The cause of stomach qi reflux is liver and kidney dysfunction . If the patient's condition continues to develop, the damage to yin will lead to the decline of yang, then the kidney's essence and qi will be consumed, the spleen's source of transformation will be exhausted, and the patient will eventually become beyond help. The location of dysphagia is in the esophagus, which is dominated by the stomach qi and is also closely related to the liver, spleen and kidneys. The basic pathogenesis is dysfunction of the spleen, stomach, liver and kidneys, which leads to dryness of body fluid and blood, stagnation of qi, phlegm and blood stasis, resulting in dry esophagus and stenosis of the esophagus and cardia.
