Pregnancy weeks and weight gain chart

There is actually a certain pattern between the number of weeks of pregnancy and the mother's weight gain. In fact, scientists have summarized a specific formula through a large amount of case data and sorting out these data. According to this formula, you can clearly see whether your weight is normal. The results obtained based on these formulas can also help you understand the approximate weight of the baby in the corresponding time period.

First, calculate based on your pre-pregnancy weight and height: BMI = weight (kg) / height squared (m), then check the interval below based on the calculated value to determine how much weight gain you should have during your entire pregnancy.

If the BMI before pregnancy is <19.8, the total weight gain during pregnancy should be 12.5-18 kg; if the BMI before pregnancy is between 19.8 and 26, the total weight gain during pregnancy should be 11.5-16 kg; if the BMI before pregnancy is between 26.1 and 29.9, the total weight gain during pregnancy should be 7-11.5 kg; if the BMI before pregnancy is >30, it is normal for the total weight gain during pregnancy to be more than 6 kg.

Pregnant women's weight Pregnant women's weight refers to the body weight of the pregnant woman measured, which is an important indicator for judging the physical condition of the pregnant woman. Measuring weight is one of the important items in prenatal examination for pregnant women. The changes in the weight of the pregnant woman can reflect whether the growth and development of the pregnant woman and the fetus are normal. If a pregnant woman's weight is seriously out of control, it will have a certain impact on delivery and the health of the fetus. If a pregnant woman is weak and sickly, the normal growth and development of the fetus will inevitably be affected. On the contrary, if excessive nutrition causes pregnant women to be overweight, there are also disadvantages. In addition to the inconvenience of movement caused by excessive weight, it can also cause problems such as hypertension, macrosomia, dystocia, lack of labor force, and prolonged labor.
