Can tooth calcification be restored?
In life, we often hear about calcium supplementation, and we ask for calcium supplementation at any time. Calcium is a trace element in our body and plays an important role in our health. Calcium has a certain impact on the growth and development of the body, and it also plays an extremely important role on teeth. When the body lacks calcium, teeth are prone to some problems. Tooth calcification is a common dental problem.

Can tooth calcification be restored? Case 1: Tooth calcification is what we call dental tartar in daily life. We can find that there are a lot of tooth stains or dark brown residues on the tooth surface, which greatly affects the appearance. The reason for tooth calcification is the lack of a good habit of brushing teeth, which causes food residues to remain on the tooth surface for a long time, or the long-term love of drinking carbonated beverages. If the teeth remain in this state for a long time, the tooth surface will be eroded by dental plaque for a long time, causing varying degrees of caries. In addition, it will also irritate the gums for a long time and lead to periodontal disease.

Case 2: Generally speaking, calcified teeth do not require treatment, but patients need to keep their mouths clean and supplement more vitamins. For patients whose conditions are not particularly serious, the calcification of their teeth can be slowly restored. However, for patients with severe calcification, subgingival scaling is recommended for corresponding treatment. Subgingival scaling is what we often call teeth cleaning. Teeth cleaning will remove the calcified substances and dental plaque on the surface of the teeth, reducing the occurrence of caries and periodontal diseases. It is recommended that you perform subgingival scaling once a year to keep your teeth clean.

Precautions: In daily life, it is recommended that you use toothpaste containing a certain amount of fluoride, which can effectively clean teeth and reduce the chance of tooth calcification. However, it is not recommended for children under three years old as it can easily cause fluorosis. If we want to avoid tooth calcification, we must maintain good brushing habits, requiring brushing for more than three minutes every morning and evening. It is best to consult a corresponding dentist to master the correct brushing method. And have regular oral examinations so that if any oral diseases occur, they can be treated promptly to avoid worsening of the situation.
