There are small bumps and itching on the areola

Many women take good care of their faces, do regular treatments, and buy some high-end skin care products, but pay little attention to some parts of the body. For some small pimples on the areola of the chest

What is going on? Only after you have a good understanding of your own body can you know what kind of problems are happening to your body. Let us take a closer look at this issue.

1. Reasons for small pimples on the areola:

1. Small bumps on the areola may be neurofibromas: they are often part of systemic fibromatosis, with groups of soft or light brown* hanging tumors growing from the nipple and areola area, causing no discomfort. The body surface is often covered with scattered tumor-like masses and pigmented spots. Surgical removal is usually not required. If the tumor is large, ulcerated, or unsightly, it can be removed individually.

2. Small bumps on the areola may be breast lipoma: it is the most common benign tumor on the body surface. It can occur in any structure with adipose tissue, but is most common on the body surface and in the breast. It mostly occurs in obese female patients, and the age of onset is mostly between 30 and 50 years old. The main manifestations are single, round or lobed soft masses with clear boundaries, slow growth, and very few malignant changes. Treatment is mainly surgical resection. However, the surgery should be thorough; if there is any residue, it will inevitably cause recurrence. The resected tissue should be sent for pathological examination to avoid missed diagnosis due to the combination of other tumors.

3. Small bumps on the areola may be soft fibroma: also known as skin tags, fibroepithelial papilloma or fibrolipoma. It often occurs in the nipple area. The surface of the tumor is basically consistent with the surrounding skin. It is connected to the skin by a pedicle and has a soft texture. If the skin tag is large and unsightly, it should be removed from the pedicle, including some normal tissue.

2. The harm of small pimples on the areola:

1. Regarding the statement that small bumps on the areola will harm the body, generally speaking, due to the influence of hormone levels in the body, breast enlargement is a normal phenomenon. The small bumps on the areola are nodular protrusions formed by hypertrophy of the sebaceous glands around the areola, which is a normal phenomenon. It is normal for women to have small bumps around their areola that usually bulge out after being stimulated. It is recommended to choose comfortable underwear.

2. Another saying is that experts believe that small bumps on the breasts are actually a manifestation of breast hyperplasia. Breast hyperplasia is the most common breast disease in women. According to surveys, about 70% to 80% of women have breast hyperplasia to varying degrees, which is more common in women aged 25 to 45.

3. Some patients have a misunderstanding about breast diseases. They think that they have a "small lump" on their breast, which does not hurt or itch, so they don't need to care about it. They think they are sick only when they feel pain. In fact, this is wrong. This is actually due to inflammatory reactions such as heat and pain, which may cause the lump to become purulent and ulcerated. After anti-inflammatory treatment and local drainage, the inflammation will subside and the lump may disappear.

3. How to treat small pimples on the areola:

The breast is a vital part of a woman, because its perfection directly affects whether a woman is seductive. Women with plump breasts look more attractive, and their attraction to men is self-evident. Which man would not have some dirty thoughts when seeing a girl with big breasts? The beauty of breasts is very important to women, but what if there are small bumps on the areola? Although the small bumps on the areola cannot be seen, you will always feel uncomfortable in your heart.

The areola, like the nipple, is an indispensable tissue of the breast and also has its unique physiological function. Most of the milk duct outlets are concentrated in the nipple tissue, but there are still a very small number of milk ducts opening on the areola. The sebaceous glands at the areola are enlarged and raised, like small papules or forming many round nodular protrusions. These are the Montgomery glands, or Monteggia tubercles. They secrete a substance that lubricates and protects the nipple, which is why there are small bumps on the areola.

Pregnant women may also have bumps on the areola, which are Monteggia tubercles. They are located on the peripheral part of the areola and are formed by the bulges at the opening of the Monteggia gland duct. From the 8th week of pregnancy, due to the increase in estrogen and progesterone, the mammary alveoli and lobules of pregnant women proliferate and develop, causing the breasts to gradually enlarge. Examination showed that the skin on the breasts and surrounding areas became darker in color, and bumps appeared around the areola, which are normal changes during pregnancy.

Warm reminder: When you find a pimple on the areola, you must go to a regular hospital for a comprehensive examination. Only in this way can you be safe and assured. Otherwise there will be unexpected consequences. Experts remind that small pimples on the areola must be given enough attention. Don't be careless and take breast issues seriously.
