Gastrointestinal disorders

Gastrointestinal disorders

Faced with the pressure of life and work, many people today are very casual about lunch and dinner. Some people don't even eat, and just eat some biscuits. This is very harmful to the stomach. For example, if a car runs out of gasoline while running, should it be refilled? If the body remains like this for a long time, it is easy to develop gastrointestinal dysfunction.

Many people do not take the occurrence of gastrointestinal dysfunction seriously, thinking it is not a serious illness, and do not deal with it, or do not change their lifestyle habits, which will lead to more complications.

Gastrointestinal dysfunction is a general term for a group of gastrointestinal syndromes, which often have a background of psychiatric factors and are mainly characterized by gastrointestinal motility disorders. In terms of pathological anatomy, there is no organic lesion basis, so it does not include gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by other systemic diseases. The clinical manifestations mainly include gastrointestinal abnormalities involving eating and excretion, and are often accompanied by other functional symptoms such as insomnia, anxiety, inattention, forgetfulness, nervousness, headache, etc. Gastrointestinal dysfunction is quite common, and there is currently a lack of accurate statistics on the incidence rate in China. Among the neuroses of various organs, the gastrointestinal tract has the highest incidence and is more common in young and middle-aged people.

Causes

There is no unified understanding of the pathogenesis of this disease so far. Mental factors play an important role in the occurrence and development of this disease. If excessive fatigue, emotional tension, family disputes, and difficulties in life and work are not properly resolved for a long time, they may interfere with the normal activities of higher nerves, causing disorders of the brain-gut axis and further causing gastrointestinal dysfunction. Suggestion and self-suggestion are the main causes of the disease, and patients often have disorders in gastrointestinal myoelectric activity and motility.

【Food suitable for patients with gastrointestinal disorders】

1) Pay attention to eating nutritious foods. Eat more high-protein and high-vitamin foods to ensure the body's adequate nutrients and prevent anemia and malnutrition. For those with anemia and malnutrition, add foods rich in protein and heme iron to the diet, such as lean meat, chicken, fish, liver, kidneys and other offal. Foods high in vitamins include dark-colored fresh vegetables and fruits, such as green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, eggplants, red dates, etc. It is best to eat 2-3 fresh hawthorns at each meal to stimulate the secretion of gastric juice.

2) Pay attention to the acid-base balance of food. When gastric acid secretion is excessive, you can drink milk, soy milk, eat steamed bread or bread to neutralize gastric acid. When gastric acid secretion is reduced, you can use concentrated broth, chicken soup, sour fruits or juice to stimulate the secretion of gastric juice and help digestion.

The above is an introduction to the knowledge about gastrointestinal dysfunction. I hope it can arouse everyone’s vigilance against this disease. Our body is our capital for work and life. If there is any problem with the body, we must deal with it in time. Otherwise, if the body is damaged, both life and work will be seriously affected.
