Symptoms of poor gallbladder function

Symptoms of poor gallbladder function

The gallbladder also plays a relatively important role in human health. The bile secreted by the gallbladder can promote the digestion of food. If the gallbladder function is poor, it will often cause digestive tract symptoms, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, chills, and jaundice. In addition, due to indigestion, belching and bad breath often occur. If the gallbladder is not good, it must be treated in time.

Symptoms of poor gallbladder function

1. Inflammation and Gas:

Your gallbladder is involved in digestion. The substances it releases are key to breaking down fat. Once there is an obstruction or difficulty in facilitating the passage of bile in the ducts, digestion becomes more difficult. Then, symptoms such as inflammation and excess intestinal gas appear. This is due to the accumulation of waste. This gas fermentation causes discomfort when not expelled in an optimal manner.

2. Pain and heaviness in the abdomen:

As with previous indigestion reactions, gallbladder problems produce abdominal pain and heaviness. This symptom, which sometimes extends to the right side of the back, comes from an inflammatory imbalance caused by poor digestion. The pain usually comes on suddenly and lasts about 15 minutes. Then, it disappears and reappears for 12 to 15 hours. This signal should be analyzed with medical help, as it can indicate the presence of gallstones.

3. Nausea and dizziness:

Additionally, nausea and recurring dizziness are symptoms that should not be ignored. Indeed, they can be caused by a variety of reasons. But keep in mind that they can occur with gallbladder problems. This is due to their inability to use bile in the digestion of fat, which increases waste in the intestines and blood. Additionally, when gallstones form, pressure builds up in the stomach, leading to nausea and vomiting.

4. Bad breath:

We know that bad breath can be caused by bacterial infection or poor hygiene habits. However, when it recurs and becomes difficult to control, it may be due to difficulties with liver and gallbladder function. In the latter case, you may have a metallic taste in your mouth which, combined with the unpleasant odor, can create discomfort. The accumulation of toxins and insufficient bile secretion are responsible for this problem.

5. Lack of appetite:

Also, a sudden loss of appetite is a sign that you are not feeling well. While it can be caused by chronic inflammation, it is also common to see digestive issues caused by a malfunctioning gallbladder. A lack of appetite that lasts for several days may indicate that the bile duct is inflamed or blocked due to stone formation. As the problem progresses, affected patients experience inflammation and fullness.

6. Jaundice

If your skin or the whites of your eyes are yellow in color, it is important to see a doctor to determine if this is due to the development of jaundice. This condition comes from a buildup of bile in the gallbladder, which can sometimes lead to the formation of stones. This substance can travel through the blood and reach any cell and tissue in the body. This is a dangerous health problem and should be under medical supervision.
