Treatment of infertility in old male pigeons

Treatment of infertility in old male pigeons

For many pigeon farmers, if they want to expand the scale of their pigeon breeding or achieve circulation, they need their pigeons to hatch eggs normally. Only in this way can it be beneficial to future development. Pigeons also reproduce sexually, but some male pigeons will become azoospermic when they reach a certain age. This makes it impossible for the female pigeons to become pregnant and the eggs they lay cannot hatch into baby pigeons. How do we solve this problem?

The occurrence of male pigeons with azoospermia is closely related to endocrine system, aging, drug damage, and lack of vitamins and trace elements in feed. If it is due to aging, it is best to let it breed pigeons in a planned way! If it is due to other reasons, targeted treatment is required to be effective.

It is recommended to increase vitamin supplementation during breeding, such as cod liver oil [vitamin AD, one drop at a time, once a week], brewer's yeast [vitamin B and protein, mixed with feed twice a week], vitamin E [50 mg once a day, twice a week], and health sand should not be interrupted. Shell powder and sterilized egg skins can be added to it. Generally, it will get better after doing this. In addition, the internal organs may have weak absorption capacity of vitamins and minerals. You can feed Liuwei Dihuang Pills [soybean-sized particles] twice a day, 2-3 pills each time. Or use Acanthopanax [twice a day, half a tablet to a tablet] + vitamin E [5 mg a day] + fresh royal jelly [soybean-sized grain]. In addition, it may be insufficient estrus or insufficient hormone secretion in the body. Methyltestosterone [half a tablet to a tablet a day] plus fresh royal jelly [soybean-sized grain] plus vitamin E can be used for treatment. Protein and minerals should also be strengthened in the feed, so that it will get better. In addition, organ lesions cannot or do not need to be treated.

The causes of infertility are:

Caused by long-term feeding of rapeseed. (Excessive consumption of rapeseed male pigeons can kill sperm.) Zhu Yizhong, manager of Guizhou Cuifengyuan Racing Pigeon Center, introduced to me a good recipe for treating spermlessness in male pigeons. After I treated the three young and old pigeons according to the prescription, the three spermless male pigeons recovered that month. That month, the three cocks and their hens all laid fertile eggs and hatched healthy young pigeons. They are still being bred and paired normally.

The prescription and treatment method are as follows: 1. Buy three vials of "testosterone propionate injection" (three vials can treat two pigeons). 2. Use 0.5 ml of the injection solution to inject into the pectoral muscle under the wing of the pigeon once a day for three consecutive days (the injection can be alternated between left, right, and left). (This injection is available in hospitals and pharmacies. I got 3 vials at the hospital for only 2.6 yuan, but it is even cheaper if you buy it at a pharmacy.) Special note: 1. Each vial of injection is enough for two pigeons. (Do not overdose. If the injection solution is not used after it is prescribed, it cannot be kept for next use and should be discarded.) 2. If you are treating a male pigeon. Just buy (or get a prescription from the hospital) three. (If treating a male: use half of each and discard the other half)

The reasons for infertility in pigeons are:

1. The pigeons are too fat, so they should be fed with clean feed and given more exercise.

2. Lack of minerals; replace the health sand, or mix multiple health sands, and use multi-dimensional electrolytes for 2-3 days a week;

3. Nutrition is unbalanced. Try to diversify feed varieties and match them scientifically;

4. After recovering from a serious illness, use liver essence to regulate for 2-3 days, and the next nest of eggs will be better;

5. Insufficient light. "Everything needs sunlight to grow." Build a sun shed. It is best to bathe the pigeons once a week, which is good for the blood circulation of the pigeons.

6. If the pigeons are too old or too young, the old pigeons should be eliminated and the young pigeons should be paired after they are fully mature.

7. The stocking density is too high. Cut down the number of pigeons and reduce the density.
