How to use a nipple retractor

During the process of breast development, women may often experience inverted nipples due to congenital dysplasia and other reasons. Inverted nipples have a great impact on women's health. On the one hand, it is easy to cause abnormal metabolism of secretions and inflammation. In addition, if breastfeeding, it is often easy for the baby to be unable to suck the nipple. Therefore, inverted nipples can be treated with a nipple traction device.

How to use a nipple retractor

During the process of breast development, wash the breasts with warm water every morning and evening, then gently pinch the inverted nipple with your fingers and slowly pull it outward. While pulling, use the thumb and index finger of your other hand to gently massage the nipple, doing this for 5-10 minutes each time.

Non-surgical treatment for inverted nipples

1. Suction method: You can put the outer sleeve of a syringe on the nipple, or you can hold the nipple with a small wine cup and press it tightly with a cloth tape, or use a cupping jar to suck outwards, or you can flatten a plastic cup and put it around the nipple. There will be suction even if you let go, which also has the effect of cupping. 2. Pull with bare hands: For people with mildly inverted nipples or those whose nipples can be squeezed out, you can pull with your hands. Do it several times a day, each time for more than half an hour, and you will see the effect over time. Moreover, this method is economical, simple and convenient. However, continuous traction can easily make people feel tired and unable to persist for a long time, thus affecting the effect of treatment. Therefore, it is only effective for some patients with mild inverted nipples.

Causes

The occurrence of inverted nipple is generally caused by congenital development, shortening of mammary ducts, fibrosis and contracture of some tissues, and hypoplasia of nipple smooth muscle. Among them, mammary duct shortening and tissue fibrosis and contracture are the main causes of nipple inversion.

Secondary nipple inversion (acquired nipple inversion) is caused by the nipple being pulled by pathological tissue in the breast or compressed by a bra or breast binder. It is often seen in diseases such as inflammation and tumors, which invade the ducts, ligaments, fascia of the breast and cause the invaded ducts, ligaments, and fascia to contract. Unreasonable breast binding or wearing too tight bras occurs in adolescence. Due to tight breasts and poor blood circulation, it causes breast hypoplasia and inverted nipples.
