Abnormal menstruation in a 50-year-old woman

A 50-year-old woman may be in menopause, and irregular menstruation is a relatively normal physiological phenomenon. For example, menopause may cause menstrual disorders and reduced menstruation. Menstruation may only come once every few months. It often causes back pain in women, forgetfulness, and obsessive-compulsive thoughts. At this time, the health hazards to women are relatively large.

Abnormal menstruation in a 50-year-old woman

1. Women's menopause can cause menstrual disorders

Menstrual disorders: the most common and prominent symptom in menopausal women. Menstruation is often delayed, sometimes only occurring once every few months, and the amount of menstruation gradually decreases. When estrogen becomes less and less and can no longer cause changes in the endometrium, menstruation stops, which is called menopause.

2. Women's menopause can cause the motor system to degenerate

Degeneration of the musculoskeletal system: pain in the waist, back, and limbs occurs; some women develop periarthritis of the shoulder and cervical spondylosis. Menopausal women are prone to depression, forgetfulness, obsessive-compulsive thoughts, paranoia, emotional inversion, emotional instability, persecution delusions, anxiety, suspicion, abnormal sensations, feelings of incompetence and world-weariness. Some people show mania, confusion and schizophrenia.

3. Women's menopause can cause metabolic disorders

Cardiovascular and lipid metabolism disorders: Coronary heart disease and diabetes may occur.

Neurological and mental disorders: Some women have obvious fluctuations in blood pressure and may have emotional instability, irritability, personality changes, memory loss, general discomfort, etc.

4. Women should not eat low-fat diets during menopause

Limit animal fats such as lard, cream, butter, etc. and foods high in cholesterol such as egg yolks, brain marrow, animal offal, etc. Because the saturated fatty acids contained in these foods can significantly increase the cholesterol concentration in the blood, thereby promoting the formation of arteriosclerosis. It is best to eat vegetable oils, such as corn oil, soybean oil, peanut oil, etc.

5. Women's menopause can cause hot flashes

Hot flashes: One of the main characteristics of menopause. Some women experience hot flashes, flushing, sweating, dizziness, and palpitations during menopause due to a drop in estrogen levels and a drop in blood calcium levels. The flashes may last from one to two minutes or from 12 to 15 minutes.
