Is long-term cupping good for the body?

With the development of society, more and more people are beginning to pay attention to their physical health and pay more attention to health preservation. In modern society, people are busy with work and have increasing mental stress. They often feel tired and have back pain. Therefore, they choose to use cupping therapy in traditional Chinese medicine to relieve fatigue, relax muscles and promote blood circulation. As everyone knows, cupping can remove the coldness in the body, adjust the body's circulation, and has certain benefits to the body. But we can't help but wonder, if we become dependent on cupping, is long-term cupping good for our health?

1. Frequent cupping can cause skin infection

Many people believe that cupping needs to be done for at least half an hour to be effective. However, Chinese medicine practitioners remind us that cupping actually varies according to the size, material, and intensity of negative pressure of the cup. However, it is generally advisable to take no more than ten minutes from lighting the fire and sliding the pot to opening the pot. Because the main principle of cupping is negative pressure rather than time. If the cupping time is too long under high negative pressure until blisters appear, it will not only damage the skin, but may also cause skin infection.

2. It is easy to catch a cold if you take a bath after cupping

You really have to pay attention to the order. You can cupping after taking a shower, but you must not take a shower immediately after cupping. After cupping, the skin is in a damaged state and is very fragile. Taking a bath at this time can easily cause skin damage and inflammation. If you take a cold shower, your skin will easily catch a cold because the pores are open. Therefore, you must not take a shower immediately after cupping.

3. Open pores can easily induce stroke

Cupping opens the pores of the skin and makes it dilated, so that moisture and congestion in the body will be sucked out, but the cold air from the outside will also enter the body through the dilated pores, causing a cold and may even induce a stroke in severe cases. Therefore, avoid taking a cold shower after cupping, and keep your body warm in time to prevent the invasion of cold air.

4. Unblock meridians and balance blood and qi

By sucking and pulling local parts, it can dredge meridians, balance qi and blood, adjust endocrine, accelerate blood circulation and lymph circulation, promote gastrointestinal motility, thereby improving digestive function and accelerating the body's metabolism. By stimulating the meridian acupoints, the functions of the two major systems, the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal cortex and the sympathetic-adrenal medulla, are adjusted, the basal metabolic rate is accelerated, thereby promoting fat metabolism, increasing heat production, and consuming accumulated fat; thereby adjusting, improving, and repairing the body's own balance.

Summary: Frequent cupping is not good for the body. Although cupping can remove some coldness in the body, when the coldness comes out, we will also lose the vitality in our body. We will also find that our body is very weak after cupping. Therefore, it is not recommended to cupping frequently. It is ok to cupping at least once a month, or you can cupping when you are particularly tired recently. Therefore, from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, it is not recommended to cupping frequently.
