1. Check the tank opening

The mouth of the jar should be smooth and without damage, but not too thin to prevent cutting the skin. Used jars must be washed with clean water and carefully checked before use. Those that do not meet the requirements or are damaged cannot be used.

2. Find the correct posture when cupping

Try to choose a body position that you find comfortable, such as lying on your back. If you need to change your body position during cupping, have someone hold the cup steady and then change your position slowly.

3. Do not take a bath after cupping

Many people like to take a bath after cupping, thinking that it is very comfortable. In fact, this is very incorrect. Because taking a bath at this time can easily cause skin ulcers and inflammation. Especially when taking a cold shower, it is easy to catch a cold because the pores of the skin are open at this time. The correct time to take a bath is 1 to 2 hours after cupping. Keep warm after cupping, and the temperature of the bath water should be slightly higher.

4. It is best not to drink alcohol before and after cupping

The main function of cupping is to regulate Qi and blood. After alcohol enters the blood, it will paralyze the vasomotor center, respiratory center and peripheral blood vessels, form methemoglobin, and cause blood pressure to drop to a certain extent, which conflicts with the regulating principle of cupping.

5. Cupping is not suitable for the chest and abdomen

Some people think that they should cupping wherever they feel uncomfortable. In fact, there are some parts of our body that cannot be cupped at will, otherwise it may bring bad consequences. Usually, cupping is done on our waist, back, and shoulders, while the chest and abdomen cannot be cupped.
