Skin diseases are also common in daily life. Eczema, urticaria, etc. are all skin diseases we encounter in daily life. However, skin diseases are often accompanied by itching, and sometimes accompanied by red bumps. These are the most common symptoms of skin diseases. Sometimes red bumps will appear whether you scratch or not, but they appear faster when you scratch. So what causes the red bumps and itching on the skin? What causes itchy red bumps on the skin? 1. Insect bites Have you been bitten by bed bugs, fleas, lice, mites, mosquitoes or other insects? If so, this should be the reason. Mosquitoes inject saliva into the skin after biting it, which can cause an allergic reaction. To prevent this disease, you should avoid going to grass, shade of trees or damp places with many mosquitoes, and you can burn mosquito coils indoors. In addition, it is best not to apply safflower oil or floral water, as this can cause skin allergies and aggravate the condition. 2. Urticaria Urticaria can also cause red bumps, which appear in patches. It manifests as sudden redness, swelling and itching of the skin, and the appearance of rashes of various sizes and shapes, which are isolated or scattered at first, gradually expand and merge into patches. Most of these rashes will disappear automatically within 24 hours, but new rashes will continue to appear one after another. It can be divided into acute urticaria, chronic urticaria, angioedema and papular urticaria. 3. Eczema Itchy red bumps on your body may also be a sign of eczema. Eczema is caused by a variety of internal and external factors. The obvious symptoms are acute deterioration of the primary cause, with the appearance of redness, swelling, erosion, and exudation; secondary causes appear 1-2 weeks after the onset, manifested as papules, small blisters, erosion, exudation, etc.; eczema lesions are often distributed on the limbs, especially the upper limbs, but can also occur on the trunk, face and neck. 4. Solar dermatitis Solar dermatitis is caused by some people's allergy to ultraviolet rays. It usually occurs 1-2 hours after sun exposure. The rash is mostly on the face, the "V"-shaped area in front of the neck, the back of the hands and upper limbs, and manifests as small papules and blisters, with subjective itching. In severe cases, the rash may also appear on non-exposed parts. It is painless, but the itching is obvious and disappears very slowly. 5. Liver abnormalities Is there any feeling of oiliness? If so, it is recommended to go to the hospital to check liver function. It is very likely that the itching is caused by high bilirubin. Patients with severely elevated bilirubin often have symptoms of hemorrhagic jaundice, which is generally considered to be related to liver and gallbladder diseases (including obstructive jaundice, hemolytic jaundice, etc.). The increased concentration of bile salts in serum and skin will stimulate nerve endings and cause systemic skin itching. In this case, liver function tests and liver and gallbladder B-ultrasound examinations should be performed. Some drugs can be used to improve liver function and reduce bilirubin. After the bilirubin is reduced, the systemic itching will naturally be relieved. 6. Tinea corporis Superficial skin fungal infections caused by pathogenic fungi parasitizing on the smooth skin of the human body (except the skin of the hands, feet, hair, nail plate, and pubic area) are collectively called tinea corporis. When pathogenic fungi invade the stratum corneum on the surface of the human body, they can cause a very mild inflammatory reaction, resulting in lesions such as erythema, papules, blisters, followed by desquamation, which is often in a ring shape, hence the common name tinea roundus or ringworm. 7. Other skin allergies (1) As we age, the skin's secretory function deteriorates, becomes thinner, and the protective layer function weakens. (2) Allergies to food, pollen, dust mites, etc. Long-term exposure to air pollution, smoke, dust, etc. can damage the skin. (3) Improper use of cosmetics can also cause small red bumps on the body. |
