What is the reason for the appearance of sha on the back?

Everyone knows the method of scraping, which is to use a scraper to scrape the skin on the back and other parts of the body, so that the skin will appear a bright red color, which is different from external injuries. This is called sha. Don’t think that this is cruel and is just looking for trouble. In fact, if no sha appears after scraping, it is abnormal. Only when sha appears can we judge the physical condition. So, what is the reason for the back sha?

① For healthy people, after systematic health scraping, generally no sha will appear, only skin flushing, local fever, and body relaxation.

②Judge health status by the location of sha. Sha is prone to occur in meridian circulation routes and acupoint areas, indicating functional lesions in the internal organs connected to the corresponding meridians. For example, if sha spots or purple sha appear in the Xinshu point area after evenly scraping the bladder meridian on the back, it means that there are abnormal changes in heart function and health care should be taken early.

③The sha pattern can be used to determine the degree of recovery. If scattered sha appears and is light in color, it means the condition is mild and easy to recover; if there are many sha spots and they are large and lumpy, or there are purple blood bags, etc., it means the condition is severe and requires repeated health care to recover.

④Sha syndrome is different from sha outbreak. Sha syndrome refers to a number of diseases that occur frequently between summer and autumn, caused by exposure to the six evil spirits of wind, cold, heat, dampness, dryness and fire, or by epidemic, foul and toxic gases. Symptoms such as headache, fever, cough, restlessness, dizziness, chest tightness, abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting, swelling and pain in the hands, feet, head, face, body, and dark blue nails are called sha syndrome, sha qi or sha zhang.

⑤ During the scraping process, when sha marks appear locally, change to light scraping method to make the sha slowly come out to relieve pain, which is called penetrating sha. For some people with neuromuscular paralysis, it is not easy for sha to appear after scraping. Do not scrape hard or hard to force the appearance of sha. It is better to scrape several times. When sha appears naturally, it means that the condition has improved. This is also called penetrating sha.

⑥ If blood clots or blood vessels float in clusters when scraping the lower limbs, it means that the venous circulation function is poor. You should immediately use the light scraping method to scrape in the reverse direction, protect the skin, and promote blood return.
