What parts of hairy crabs can't be eaten?

I believe many people have heard that the tips of chicken wings cannot be eaten. It is still unclear whether the rumor is true or not. However, some foods do have some taboos to pay attention to. Some parts of food cannot be eaten, especially animals, probably because some parts have special uses for animals, such as detoxification, etc. Crabs are available in large quantities in August every year. Some parts of crabs cannot be eaten. Today I will tell you which parts of hairy crabs cannot be eaten. I hope you will pay attention to this in the future.

1. The gills of hairy crabs cannot be eaten

Crabs, like fish, live in water but need to breathe fresh air all the time, so they have a relatively developed respiratory system called gills, which allows them to breathe through tiny bubbles in the water. Please note that the gills are the dirtiest part of the crab's body and the main habitat for parasites. They are not edible. After opening the crab shell, you will see two rows of gray soft tissue, which are the gills. They must be removed before eating.

2. The stomach of the hairy crab cannot be eaten

Crabs are omnivorous animals. Their food sources are very wide. In addition to small fish and shrimps, underwater plants, underwater decaying things, etc. are all their food. Therefore, the crab stomach is also very dirty. Open the crab shell, there is a triangular black object in the crab roe area. This is the crab stomach, which needs to be removed when eating.

3. The intestines of hairy crabs cannot be eaten

The crab intestine is the tube connecting the crab stomach and belly button, which contains the crab's excrement. When you separate the crab roe and crab meat, there are black things called crab intestines. These are not generally eaten and will be pulled out directly when the crab shell is removed. However, they may be pulled apart, causing part of the crab intestine to be in the crab roe area, which also needs to be removed when eaten.

4. The crab shell cannot be eaten

Generally, people do not eat the shell of hairy crabs because it is relatively hard. Although it is rich in the minerals calcium and phosphorus, the human gastrointestinal tract cannot digest it and cannot withstand the friction damage of such hard food, so it needs to be thrown away. However, compared with the above four parts, this part is better.
